There is great unity between God's Word and God's Works!

We are all in some ways "Recovering Pharisees."  We are all tempted to think we can earn salvation; tempted to think we can tip the scales with our good outweighing our bad.

Even if we know we're saved by grace; we're still tempted to try to add human effort to grace.

Psalm 33:1-3

Praise should flow out of a life of gratitude!

The message reminds us that God's goodness and mercy are indeed sure.

Also "dwelling in the house of the Lord" is both a present and a future reality.

The Lord takes us through the valley.  The valley can be a dark and difficult place; but the Lord takes us through and He never abandons us.

The valley is a place of shadows; but remember:  "Where there is a shadow there is also light!"

God is our rock of refuge!

The Lord leads by: Scripture, Holy Spirit, and the Counsel of the Godly.

Signs of a soul in decline are:  Neglect of Spiritual Nourishment; unconfessed sin; companionship with the world, critical spirit, complacent spirit, uncaring spirit.

But God restores continuously, graciously, and with purpose!

Give thanks to the Lord!

Jesus has prepared a table for us.  He has prepared this table in the presence of our enemies.  Therefore the table is a reminder of the defeat of three great enemies:  Sins Past; Temptation Present; and Death of Tomorrow.
