Stuck In My Generation

Widely regarded as one of the most important albums in music history, and consistently in the top 3 of the majority of all time lists....as the holidays kick our asses, we decided to NOT even think about doing a 29 album deep dive of The Beach Boys....instead, we go right to the cream of their crop. What did we think?

Was Idlewild good? What about ATLiens? Stankonia and a few jams from Speakerboxxx/The Love Below is all we can recall, so it's time to go all the way in on Outkast and find out if there are some hidden gems on these SIX albums.

Sadly her career was cut short, and we didn't really listen to her other than "Rehab"....so we had to listen to her two studio albums considering how highly regarded she is in that short career.

We have a special kind of love for all 3 of these groups, and decided to spend a whole week just fine tuning our thoughts on them with a grading system and new album review.

We remember the singles...the lighting of fires, strange people, and breaking on through....but is there more to this band than those songs? We listened to their discography to find out.

We wanted to discuss some albums we hold in high regard, so we did just that!

We knew the hits....EVERYONE knows the hits. But to lie and say we had listened to every album, or even TWO of their full albums, would be...well...a lie. We took this journey expecting these guys to truly be a top 3 all time band...and here is what we discovered.

This is the trickiest band we have binged to date. Is Fred Durst a genius? Did they get lucky? Is Wes Borland a GOOD guitarist? Did Fred have an algorithm before algorithms were a big thing? So many questions....but also some potential answers. This week was all about buttering our bizkits.

We find out after she dropped her 3rd album, as we listened to them all to find out what makes her such a massive draw.

I saw this band live and I am sure that created a lot more of a connection than Hicks listening to the albums....nevertheless, lets see what we think of this newer entry into the revived grunge and punk music scene.
