A new report from the nonpartisan Public Policy Institute of California says student homelessness throughout the state is at record-high levels. The population of these vulnerable students rose by almost 20,000 last year, but that picture can vary significantly between districts. Sacramento County Superintendent of Schools David Gordon sheds light on the rising student homelessness rate in his county, as well as how strategies to identify and help unhoused students are working.
