Have you ever wonder what would it be like if you are a better person? If you are the person that you really wanted to be.
Have you experienced being awake in the middle of the night just thinking how can I be my best self? What else can I do to make my life more productive?
There are 6 steps in order for you to get started on being the best version of yourself.
* Clear out your mind and space.
* Decide to commit.
* Time Management
* Set a Realistic Goal
* Accept the Challenge and Be honest
* Reward Yourself
#1. Clear out your mind and space
I believe the way to being your best self is to first do the cleansing. Cleansing of your mind and space. I prefer everything to always be clean and clear. Remove all the negativity going in your head. Think of nothing but a clean heart and a clear mind. It's a good addition if your space or environment is always clean and spacious. It is easy to think and work without distractions. The ambiance of clean surroundings could make you feel cheerfully alive and healthy.
#2. Decide to commit
When we commit to something we have to make sure that you're giving out your 100% determination and commitment to achieve a goal. The easiest way to keep your commitment is to make your goal your passion. In that way, you'd retain your enthusiasm for a long time. Because when you are passionate you tend to forget the pressure, you forget that you do things out of necessity but instead it is your passion that keeps you going and happy while doing the work. Little by little you'd realize that you're one step closer to your goal.
If you are not fully committed, you will just waste your time trying to work out something you're really not. It takes guts to fully commit. You'll have to deal with very challenging and tempting situation. You'd be in a battle between good and evil. The result is always in accordance with your decision. Would you rather choose to lose your battle?
Committing to something would require you to sacrifice or compromise other stuff. Be it your TV time or social media time. It doesn't really have to be removed at all from your list of activities but at least reduce the time you spend with really not so important matters.
#.3 Time Management
Good way to do this is to spend time planning and organizing your time. Give at least 15 minutes to sit and write down what you wanted to achieve for the day, week or the whole month. For myself, I have my bullet journal or planner with me always comes handy to monitor my progress. This helps me see what I have accomplished. Take a look:
This is my May Monthly Planner:
Here is my set goals:
Here is my Habit Tracker when I started Bullet Journalling:
This sample is not awesome because I was kinda lazy and I was still working on my motivation that time. I just want to show you how I began and it wasn't easy. One thing I've learned from this is I get to see how I waste my time and how I gain motivation and determination to be better. I get frustrated whenever I didn't accomplish anything for that month. So in turn, I strive hard to do more and be productive.
Here's my daily's:
This is where I write specifically my tasks for a day.
Also, what we need to learn is to prioritize.
