The master plan of YeHoVaH to redeem all mankind was initiated after the fall of man. His plan can be seen from Genesis to Revelation. The first Messianic prophecy, as it is known, was fulfilled with the advent of Messiah. This Messianic prophecy, in Genesis, was to redeem All Gentiles, Jews, and mankind. Hope for the Gentiles was prophesied by the prophets and manifested in the arrival of Messiah. The fulfillment of this prophecy was at the forefront of Yeshua’s mind as He preached the true Gospel of the Kingdom and healed all who came to Him. In this teaching, we will identify who the Gentiles were, how they would be shown judgment, and how they would put their trust in YeHoVaH. This is a timeless and thought-provoking teaching, Hope for the Gentiles.
For 12 years, five kingdoms served Chedorlaomer king of Elam. In the 13th year, Sodom and the 4 other kingdoms rebelled. In the 14th year, Chedorlaomer made war with them and took all their goods and victuals along with Lot, Abram’s nephew, and all his goods.
When Abram was informed of Lot’s capture, Abram activated his army of 318 trained servants. Abram had trained them to fight and now he arms them for battle.
The seventh-day Sabbath, established on the seventh day of creation, is the most established Commandment in all of Scripture. The seventh-day Sabbath was created by YeHoVaH; established, observed, and kept by Yeshua; and is a gift given to man as a day of rest, assembly, and worship. The religious leaders of Yeshua’s day had created Sabbath Day laws of dos and don’ts that they imposed on the people and accused Yeshua and His disciples of violating. In this portion of Matthew, Yeshua is confronted by the Pharisees on two separate occasions of violating their laws which led to a plot to kill Him. Did Yeshua violate the Sabbath, instituted by YeHoVaH, in either of those incidents? Join us in these tense and confrontational moments as Yeshua tries to reason with the Pharisees about the Sabbath Day from a Biblical and historical context in the teaching, Lord of the Sabbath.
This episode begins with Abram leaving Egypt with his wife and his nephew, Lot. Abram was very rich in cattle, silver, and gold that Pharaoh had given Abram for Sarai’s sake. Abram returned to the place where YeHoVaH had appeared to him and where he had called on the Name of YeHoVaH.
Abram’s and Lot’s substance was so great that they could not dwell together. They decided to separate. Lot moved by sight and his decision to pitch his tent toward Sodom would cost him dearly. Abram moved by faith and depended on YeHoVaH to sustain him wherever he went. YeHoVaH prophesized over Abram and made an everlasting promise to him.
Yeshua’s ministry of miracles, signs, and wonders was known throughout Israel and beyond. Yeshua sent His disciples out to the cities of the lost sheep of Israel to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils, and proclaim the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Yeshua declared to those who had ears to hear that John the Baptist was the one that the prophets wrote about and was the Elijah who was to come. Nevertheless, with all of the supernatural revelations, the manifestations of miracles, healings and fulfillment of prophecy, the people would not repent and therefore were unable to enter into the rest Yeshua came to give them. Yeshua compared the attitudes of the people of His day to the attitudes of the people in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah. Yet, Yeshua continued to appeal to those who would listen to come, learn, and find rest. Join us in this portion of Matthew as we follow the teaching ministry of Messiah, in the cities of the lost sheep of Israel, as He appeals to the people to repent, receive revelation, and find rest for their souls
Abram and Sarai were married before they left Ur. Now that Abram has gone to Canaan, he faces a famine there. So, they decide to go to Egypt. Abram was concerned for his own life and had Sarai say that she was his sister for his protection. Here it is obvious that Abram is relying on his own wit for protection instead of YeHoVaH. Was Sarai Abram’s sister, half-sister or was she his niece?
Pharaoh showed Abram great favor in exchange for Sarai by bestowing great wealth unto Abram. In spite of Abram’s misrepresentation, YeHoVaH rescues Sarai from Pharaoh.
As we continue in Genesis and through the Scriptures, we will see that Egypt played a continual role in the lives of the Israelites even in the life of Yeshua.
All the prophets and the Law prophesied until the coming of John the Baptist. John’s ministry and Yeshua’s ministry were both fulfillments of prophecy. Yeshua’s sending out the twelve was not only an opportunity for them to demonstrate what they had learned but was also a continuation of the ministry of John the Baptist. Yeshua commissioned the disciples to go before Him to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils, and proclaim the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. In this portion of Matthews’ Gospel, we will make the connection between John the Baptist and the disciples’ ministry in relationship to Messiah Yeshua and the prophecies being fulfilled in The Prophets and the Law.
Abraham (formerly called Abram) is viewed as one of the most important persons if not the most important person in Scripture besides Yeshua Himself. YeHoVaH introduced Himself to Moses as the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel/Jacob. The faith we confess today started with the faith of Abraham. In this passage, Abram was commanded to get out of his country, get away from his kindred, and get from his father's house. Because Abraham was emotionally connected to his family, he brought with him his father, Terah, and nephew, Lot. In spite of this, Abraham trusted YeHoVaH and YeHoVaH made several everlasting promises to Abraham in this passage.
Yeshua’s 12 disciples followed Him not fully knowing or understanding they had been recruited personally by Him into the Kingdom of Heaven’s Boot Camp to be trained and prepared for Kingdom warfare as Kingdom citizens. For several months, they had followed Yeshua, listening to the messages He taught and preached to them and the masses. They saw firsthand the miraculous demonstrations of the power of the Holy Spirit manifesting through Yeshua. Now, they were about to be sent out to demonstrate the spiritual warfare and lifestyle they had been trained and prepared for. Yeshua expresses His expectations and instructs His disciples to follow His instructions and to do warfare as they were trained in Boot Camp. Yeshua expects His disciples, then and now, to be prepared to exercise the training they received. Join us as we continue The Discipleship Boot Camp Series Pt 3.
Although Moses had written concerning the generations of Shem in the previous Chapter, he revisits the generations of Shem with a focus on Arphaxad. The reasoning behind this revisit is to focus on the generations leading to Yeshua Messiah. The genealogy follows Arphaxad’s grandson, Eber. Scripture says that Eber had sons and daughters, however, the generations leading to Messiah goes through Peleg who was the ancestor of Abraham. Abraham’s extended family in Ur of the Chaldees is described prior to an in-depth treatment of Abraham’s life in subsequent Chapters.
