Pastor Greg welcomes you for Back to Church Sunday. As we launch the NEXT series here at Adventure, Pastor Greg teaches from John 1:1 - 18 focusing on how everything starts with Jesus. He demonstrates how Jesus is not only in the New Testament gospels but has always been even before the beginning of creation and that all things were created through Him. He is the living truth that came to Earth to be our salvation and make us new through His sacrifice! Also shows a special message from Dallas Jenkins, creator of "The Chosen"!
In the conclusion of our summer series on Daniel, Pastor Greg's message covers chapters 10, 11, and 12. He explores Daniel's prophetic dreams and how they help us embrace the truth of Scripture. Pastor Greg reminds us that God's Word is filled with signposts about things yet to come and emphasizes that it's okay to have differing views on how to interpret these signs. What matters most is our salvation and faithfulness to God above all else. Just as Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were prepared to stand firm in their faith amidst the challenges of Babylon, we too must continually prepare ourselves as we await the return of Jesus. Let us also remember to pray for our brothers and sisters around the world who are already enduring tribulations for their faith in Christ.
For week 12 of Exiles in Babylon, Pastor Greg delivers the message on Daniel's Prayer in Daniel chapter 9. PG talks about confession and repentance are how they are essential for maintaining a good relationship and fellowship with God. He also speaks on God's great love for each of us and how in both times of confusion and clarity we should always go to God (plus a preview of what's to come in next week's message).
In week 11 of Exiles in Babylon with Pastor Dave covers Daniel chapter 8. Pastor Dave walks us through Daniel's vision, its interpretation and the fulfillment seen in historical record. He also elaborates on the vision's relevance and meaning regarding the end times and antichrist, but reminds us that the most important thing to remember is that God's Word is true and we need to keep our focus on Him and the mission He's given us.
In week 10 of the summer series Exiles in Babylon, guest speaker Pastor Scott teaches on Daniel chapter 7. Pastor Scott reveals how chapter 7 is the end of a chiasm that begins in chapter 2. He explains how the centerpiece of the chiasm - and Daniel 7 - is that God holds leaders accountable, He is always in control, and He has a good plan for His people!
aired 8/4/24
In week 9 of Exiles in Babylon, Pastor Greg teaches on the story of Daniel in the lions' den from Daniel chapter 6. PG reminds us to prepare for opposition as we declare our allegiance to the one true God and encourages us to trust in God's provision. Though opposition and trials will inevitably come, God will never leave us nor forsake us.
This week Pastor Greg shares a message on Daniel chapter 5. This chapter has jumped forward to the time of King Belshazzar. When a hand wrote on the wall during one of the king's great feasts the queen remembered Daniel's reputation for interpretation and suggested he be brought in to interpret the writing. PG offers four key takeaways each with a related question to ponder to help up apply the lessons from this passage to our walk today.
