Welcome back to your weekly dose of style, confidence, and faith-filled encouragement here on Style Secrets After 50. I'm so happy you're here!
Today's conversation is unlike any I've shared before.
I'm Traci Jeske, your pink style muse, and for nearly 30 years I've been helping women rediscover their confidence, refine their personal style, and embrace every season of life with purpose. But as you'll hear today, style has never just been about clothes. It's always been about identity, confidence, and learning to see yourself the way God sees you.
This episode is deeply personal.
Because for the first time, I'm opening up about one of the hardest seasons of my life, a season when I slowly stopped recognizing the woman looking back at me in the mirror.
After walking through a painful marriage crisis, I found myself doing something I never imagined I would do.
I started changing who I was to become the woman I thought someone else wanted.
And the more I changed, the more I disappeared.
Somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn't just losing my style… I was losing myself!
If you've ever questioned your worth, changed yourself to gain someone's approval, or wondered where the confident woman you used to be has gone, I hope you'll listen with an open heart.
In this episode, we'll answer questions so many women quietly carry:
Why do I feel like I've lost myself? Can trying to please someone else slowly erode my confidence? How do I stop looking for my worth in other people's approval? What does God say about my identity and value? How do I find my way back to the woman I was created to be?Is it possible to become stronger after a crisis?Together, we'll explore how to:
Recognize the subtle ways we can lose ourselves while trying to keep someone else happyReplace the lies we've believed with the truth of God's WordEmbrace the woman God is shaping us into instead of longing for who we used to beThis episode is for every woman who's ever looked in the mirror and wondered, "Where did I go?"
It's for the woman who has been shrinking herself, second-guessing herself, or believing she has to become someone else to be loved.
Girlfriend, your worth has never depended on another person's opinion of you.
It has always been securely rooted in the God who created you!
Before you press play, I want to encourage you to give yourself this time. Pour yourself a cup of coffee, put in your earbuds, settle into your favorite chair, and listen with an open heart. Something tells me this conversation is going to feel less like a podcast... and more like sitting down with a girlfriend who simply wants to remind you how deeply loved and wonderfully made you are.
If today's episode resonated with you, I'd love for you to listen to Menopause, Style & Self-Talk: How to Feel Confident in Your Body Again | EP 8 next. It's a beautiful reminder that confidence always begins on the inside.
If this episode spoke to your heart, would you do me a little favor?
