Have you participated in a market event lately?
Many brands have had to get creative when it comes to getting in front of their audience and making sales during COVID. Most have completely pivoted to e-commerce and some have managed to keep their brick-and-mortar shops open, while taking strict precautions to slow the spread, of course. But what if you're somewhere in the middle?
Well, market events may be just the thing for you! Whether in-person or digital, these events can be a great way to build your brand awareness, get your products in front of new customers, and make more sales all at once. So join me as I host the next #StyleBizChat live podcast episode with Malia Peoples of Melted Porcelain about how to get your feet wet with market events.

I'm so over hustle culture. Aren't you? It's so easy to fall down a rabbit hole of social media posts and peer pressure to always be on the "grind", "securing the bag", and honing in on your "millionaire mindset". 2020 only exaggerated these ideals in the form of the peak entrepreneur content shoved in our faces via social ads.
But to be quite frank, launching a business from scratch isn't for everybody... and that's ok. Having a 9 to 5 job doesn't mean you're a "slave to the main" or "not tapping into your full potential". If choosing to thrive at an already established business lights you up, go for it!
So in this live discussion, I want to do my best to take some of the pressure off of you feeling like the only way to claim success is to build a brand from the ground up and share three ways to channels your awesome skill sets into an already established brand.

2020 gifted us with an enormous amount of time to reflect on our career paths. For some, the loss of one job led to a more fulfilling employment direction and for others, the newfound clarity led to the courage to start something totally new.
So if you’re in the camp of people who're ready to take the leap into entrepreneurship, you may be interested in this conversation. Join me as I chat with Darrah Christel, Founder of LOHO, a line of patented comfort lace waistband tights based in Seattle, WA.
Launched in 2017, Darrah took the entire business process from ideation to patent struggles to manufacturing and marketing, all the way to closing its doors in pursuit of her next career venture.
Darrah Christel, LOHO
Darrah is a copywriter with over 10 years of experience working on a number of creating teams, presenting massive multi-channel marketing campaigns for brands like Nordstrom, REO, Target, Brooks Running, Burton, and others. And even though she started her own clothing line, she wouldn’t call herself a designer. She will say, however, that she’s a natural-born problem solver and innovator.
