  • #BernedOut

As the media-fueled spectacle of election season heats up in the United Snakes, many anarchist and anti-authoritarian comrades are experiencing a serious case of deja fucking vu. Once again, we find ourselves engaging in the same stupid fucking debates with liberals, so-called “progressives” and other fair-weather radicals, about the pitfalls of electoral politics, all while being talked down to, as though we're just naive, contrarian ideologues, who don't know what we're fucking talking about.

  • Chile: Students Battle for Free Education

In Chile, students have sustained a mass movement protesting for public colleges and universities to be made tuition free for more than a decade. At the most recent march, on April 21, some students again battled police tear gas and water canons with rocks and Molotov cocktails. In 2011, 2013 and 2015, students took over many of their campuses for months and organized long-term protest camps in classrooms. In 2015, nearly half of the nation's public school and university educators went on a six week national strike, many of them joined their students marching in the streets. Meaningful changes have yet to pass the Chilean congress. The public education system remains much the same as it was under the former U.S. backed Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet.

  • Reconciliation at Gunpoint

CONTENT WARNING: Detailed description of colonial violence and dehumanization at the hands of police and prison/court staff.

    --

In this interview, Layla Staats and Skyler Williams describe their arrest on unceded Cas Yikh territory, and the disgusting lengths that the Canadian state went to try and break their warrior spirits.

Through these desperate and brutal actions, the RCMP and the courts showed the true essence of 'reconciliation' in a militarized settler-colonial state.

As Skyler says, and Wet'suwet'en land defenders have reminded us through their recent re-capture of Coyote Camp - injunctions are only pieces of paper. Canadian law has no legitimacy on stolen land.

  • The Eviction Still Stands: CGL & RCMP Off the Yintah

On Jan 4 2020, the Wet'suwet'en hereditary chiefs evicted Coastal GasLink from their territory. That eviction order remains in effect today.

No matter how many times the Canadian state deploys its colonial shock troops, the RCMP, to try and force a pipeline through these lands, the decision has been made. There will be no pipelines built through sovereign Wet'suwet'en territory.

Join the fight. Come to the Yintah. And if you can't make it, then take action where you are.

  • Alton Gas Blockade

This year, they set up a Treaty Camp along the entrance to the Alton Gas work site, effective blocking the company from working on the project. This camp continues to this date, and needs on-going support and donations.
