On this episode, we begin to delve into young Martha Washington. Throw away your mob caps because we are talking about a Martha you haven't yet met, one American history doesn't want you to know. Pre- George, already living a lavish life, well known in her own right, Martha Dandridge was the It girl of her time.

Starting the podcast back up with a new format. I need to memorize every detail about George and Martha Washington's lives so plan on hearing mostly about them for the time being. However, their lives include a wide array of a cast of characters so there will be more than just their stories to unfold. 

This first podcast is brief skim into the early life of George. There are no mentions of cherry trees.

We start Women’s Month a month late with some Bad Ass women of the Revolution. I’ve had this recorded, but life was a lot in March so we are going to celebrate women through April. This is part one because Peggy is a fascinating woman so she needs more time to be explored. Birth through Meschianza- the biggest bash Philadelphia has ever seen. Her early life basically reads as a 1980s John Hughes film with the Peggy’s and Becky’s of Philadelphia vying for top spot and the bad boys of the British military rolling into town. I guess George Washington is the mean principal who gives them all detention.
