Never Violate Rule Number One of Podcasting
If your podcast intro sounds like a polished LinkedIn bio, your listener will bail on your episode quickly.
Conversely, if you don’t let me know why I should stick around…I won’t stick around.
That must mean there’s a balance you must strike so you do not violate the one rule too many business podcasters break:
DO NOT BE BORING.
You'll hear the kind of guest introduction we've all heard before. It's polished, credentialed, and completely forgettable. Then I'll show you how a simple "You know when..." story creates the emotional connection that makes listeners stop scrolling, stop multitasking, and start paying attention.
Listen, your audience isn't listening in an ‘acoustically perfected’ environment waiting to be inspired.
- They're making payroll.
- They're preparing for a webinar.
- They're walking into a boardroom.
- They're driving kiddos to soccer practice.
- They're answering client messages from the grocery store.
- They're wondering if the business they've built is sustainable.
Your podcast has to meet them where they are.
Masterful podcasters are hoping their opener grabs attention. They’re planning for it so their audience thinks, "That's exactly how I feel."
Inside this episode, you'll discover how to:
- Use strong podcast CTAs
- Create memorable podcast hooks
- Build trust and leverage to convert
- Build a repeatable podcast framework
- Write podcast intros that hook listeners
- Turn your podcast into a client pipeline
I’ll also share why naming your process matters.
Whether it's Podcast TLC or The Mic Drop Mastery Method, a memorable framework gives your audience language they can easily remember, repeat, and recommend.
If your podcast gets compliments but not clients...
If your episodes are packed with value but still feel forgettable...
If listeners tell you they love your show but never take the next step...
This episode will help you create converting podcast episodes people remember long after the episodes end.
Your podcast doesn't need more information.
It needs hooks* people feel, language people repeat, and calls to action they can't ignore.
*Know This: Inside the Studio, we do not manipulate our hooks. We create engaging hooks that resonate with our ideal clients, so they feel seen, heard, and loved.
