Self-control is extremely important in everything that you are doing, but especially if you are a Christian.  You need to exercise self-control in everything that you are doing.  You need to know when to draw the line because too much of a good thing can be bad for you and obviously a bad thing if you don’t have the right level of self-control is bad for you as well.

You may have read one of the four gospels or one of Jesus’ parables.  He uses the analogy of faring and seed and harvest time often.  We need to remember this principal because it still governs our results today.  If you want to become a great basketball player, you have to sow the seed of practice time. If you want to have a good marriage, you have to sow into your marriage, quality time with your spouse and resources that will help you get a good marriage. If you have to have a good productive day, you have to sow a good night’s rest the night before.  Seed time and harvest time will remain forever and this principal is operating in more ways than you think.  Let’s go into the bible to see what it says about seed time and harvest.

At times we all feel like God may have forgotten about us or if we have missed our opportunity for God to work through us in a big way.  Honestly, Even though I have this podcast and so many of you listen to it, I’ve felt like that a couple of weeks ago.  This is the reason I studied this topic, to remind myself that I am not forgotten.  God still is working through me in his grand plan.  The same is for you as well.  Regardless of how you feel emotionally, or if it feels like everyone is ignoring you, God has not forgotten about you and is still working through you in his redemption plan for society.

This episode may be challenging depending on where you are in your spiritual walk with Jesus, but I’m going to lay out what the bible says about it so you can see for yourself and allow the Holy Spirit speak to you.  Yes if you are a Christian and have accepted Christ into your heart then you are saved and you have your eternity secure in heaven. I do want to remind you, that what you did here on earth will be judged as it’s mentioned in 1 Corinthians 3:13 by fire and if what you have done survives the fire then you will receive a reward. In this episode I’m going to talk about the Crowns that believers will get when they reach heaven.

In Second Corinthians 12:7, Paul talks about a thorn in his flesh.  Though we don’t know exactly what his thorn was, any Christian who has struggled with being addicted to anything can relate to having a thorn in their flesh.  If could be smoking, pornography, sexual addictions, drinking or drugs.  It doesn’t matter how strong the addiction is, the power of God is able to break the stronghold of these addictions off your life.  We are going to look into some verses from the bible in this episode that will help you do that.  Let’s get started.

In this day and age that we are living in, its almost impossible to find a time to get some rest.  We wake up tired, go through the day tired, then fall asleep tired and do it all over again the next day.  But In God you are able to find rest and peace for your soul.  Its up to you to practically make time in your schedule to accomplish this but when you do God will bless your time of rest so that you can come back more powerful and get better results than before.
