  • Still Confused About Facebook Lookalike Audiences? - Success Unscrambled | Blog Traffic Tips | Business Success Stories
You heard and saw all the amazing results around Facebook lookalike audiences, but you have no idea what it is or how you can find yours.

Maybe you have even tried to install a Facebook pixel and you think that it has been installed properly but you cannot see anything in your analytics reports.

Everyone keeps talking about running Facebook ads to warm audiences and you don't want to feel like the odd one out and you are too ashamed to even ask.

It is possible that you have spent over 100 hours in forums and on Facebook groups trying to figure out how you too can get these eye-popping results that everyone and their grandmother is getting from Facebook Ads.

You may have even dipped your toe and created your first Facebook Ad and the results were not exactly exciting.  Actually, you spent $100, $300 or even $600 on campaigns and you have very little to show for it.

If any of these examples sound familiar or even if you can resonate with them slightly then stick with me as I help you understand Facebook lookalike audiences in more detail and even give you the opportunity to join a free Webinar.

    What are Facebook Lookalike Audiences?
According to an article in the Social Media Examiner  "A lookalike audience is a targeting audience based on a custom audience. Examples of custom audiences include people on your email list, website visitors, and Facebook users who engage with your video or Facebook page".

So what does that mean exactly?  Well, basically it is an audience that resembles the prospects that already visited your website, are on your email list, are fans of your Facebook Page or engaged with any of your content in the past.

Based on any of your prospects past behaviour on any of your content as well as their interests and habits Facebook can then come up with a near enough audience that resembles those prospects.
Why Are Facebook Lookalike Audiences Important?
Well, this can add real value to you and your business because it gives you the opportunity to reach new potential customers.

If you are really happy with your current customers or even prospects who engage with your content the best way to get more of the same kind of customers or prospects is to use technology to help you find them.
How can Facebook know what my audience looks like?
One of the reasons why it is difficult for entrepreneurs and small businesses to really understand Facebook lookalike audiences is because they don't realise that they need to give Facebook access to something that they have such as an existing audience.

Unless you have a Facebook group or a Facebook page the only way for you to create a lookalike audience is to either install a Facebook pixel on your site or upload your email list to Facebook.

At first, this may sound a little bit scary.  Why should you give Facebook more information about you and your business?  The truth is if you already have Google Analytics installed on your site then you are already giving a third party access to your information anyway.

If your ideal customer is on Facebook then installing a Facebook pixel can only add value and give you a deeper insight into your marketing efforts.

Google Analytics lets you know a lot of information about who visited your website and from which countries.  Facebook, however, can give you more in-depth information about your prospects and customers especially if they use Facebook regularly.
    Lookalike Targeting
In order to create a successful lookalike targeting campaign, you will first need to create your Facebook lookalike audiences.

  • The #1 Secret That Makes An Ultrapreneur Successful - Success Unscrambled | Blog Traffic Tips | Business Success Stories
Just when you thought you have heard it all up pops a word that startles, ultrapreneur.  If you never heard this word before don't worry you are not alone.

At this point you are probably wondering, without looking up the definition, is it some sort of an entrepreneur?

I decided myself not to look at the definition for a whole week to see if I can come up with my own meaning of this word.

Recently, I  spent time, over 4500 words looking at and writing about the intrapreneur definition which made sense after much study.

After a week of guessing about the word ultrapreneur, I gave up and of course, I did not get it correct. Surprised?

As my reader, I am going help you understand what it is all about, why it is important and how you can take the first steps into this ultimate world of "elite" entrepreneurship.

    Ultrapreneur Definition
I thought that coming up with an ultrapreneur definition would be a piece of cake, lemon drizzle cake if you must know.

However, as there are not a lot of studies published in this market I have managed to narrow it down to a few definitions.
    Ultrapreneur Definition Part 1
In an article in Medium.com by Julian Hall, he describes an ultrapreneur as someone who has exceeded at entrepreneurship but goes on to have a positive effect on their family, friends, community, humanity and country.

You can take a step back and assume that is a business person who decided to join the army or become a monk or nun but this is not what Julian had in mind.

    Reserve Your Spot
    Ultrapreneur Definition Part 2
Nigel Clayton in his website Ultrapreneur Success gives a simplistic ultrapreneur definition

Someone who earns enough money to live the lifestyle they want doing want they love and who has ample time to spend it with people they love.

At this point, you are probably wondering if they confused the definition of ultrapreneur with the definition of utopia. I can tell you that is not the case as in utopia people don't work. At least I don't think so.
    Ultrapreneur Definition Part 3
A 2018 report by BNP Paribas describes ultrapreneurs as ultimate elite entrepreneurs who are focused on creating a positive impact as well as job creation.
    Ultrapreneur Definition Part 4
I was listening to a podcast where Tom Evans, a prolific writer on the topic of Mindfulness, describes an ultrapreneur as an entrepreneur who has mastered the ability to quiet the mind.

He goes on to say that they get more done in less time by taking time out every day to quiet the mind.
    Famous Ultrapreneurs
As I mentioned in the introduction to this article there isn't a lot of published work on the study of ultrapreneurship.

We would need to look at the lives of past and present entrepreneurs to see which ones are best suited to the ultrapreneur role.

The first few that jump to my mind are:
    Richard Branson

  • Intrapreneur vs Entrepreneur – Characteristics, Examples and Definitions - Success Unscrambled | Blog Traffic Tips | Business Success Stories
I think you will agree with me that it is confusing to understand the difference when it comes to the intrapreneur vs entrepreneur argument.

More importantly having a clear intrapreneur definition will help most people to understand how it differs from an entrepreneur.

The problem many companies struggle to understand the benefits of having an intrapreneur in their organisation because many experts say that intrapreneurs are just inside entrepreneurs.

At first I struggled with this assumption but after trawling through many articles about the intrapreneur definition along with benefits and examples I saw light at the end of the tunnel

The impact to organisations large and small is amazing especially when the risk of not embracing this culture is failure.

In this post, I am going to help you to understand the intrapreneur definition from several experts as well as the associated examples and benefits.  Grab a seat and your favourite snack.
    Intrapreneur Definition - Part 1
What on earth is an infrapreneur and why should we care? According to Dictionary.com an intrapreneur is "An employee in a large corporation who receives freedom and financial support to create products, services and systems".

Now, to be honest I had a few reservations with this definition because it seems to be narrow in that the employee needed to be in a large corporation.

My other observation is that the definition is very focused on the external adjectives of the person rather than the drivers or motivations from within.

While you chew on this definition let's look at a few examples and characteristics that match nicely with this point of view.
    Intrapreneur Characteristics - part 1
Is it even possible to get an agreeable list together of the characteristics of an infrapreneur when compared to an entrepreneur?

According to Beth Hendricks at Study.com the top 4 traits of the infrapreneur are:

    1. Willingness to take calculated risks

    2. Ability to think visually and brainstorm new ideas

    3. Desire to influence more than reap financial reward

    4. Insight to discover the next great idea
    Intrapreneur Examples - Part 1
No study of this intense subject will be complete without taking a look at a few relevant examples that will help you to better understand the benefits to an organisation and the public.

    1. Facebook likes - the famous Facebook like came about as a result of a hackathon event where intrapreneurship is being nurtured in Facebook.  I am still waiting on the Facebook clap guys!

    2. Zero to Zorro - Jean Marc Landry, with no experience in the area of intrapreneurship, he decided to set up an innovation program for his company. You can read more about it here.
    Intrapreneur Definition - Part 2
If you did not like the first definition too much it is possible that you may find this one more acceptable.

According to Investopedia an intrapreneur is "An inside entrepreneur in a large firm, using entrepreneurial skills without incurring risks."

Well, you know what I am going to say, why does it have to be a large firm?  Can small businesses or startups have intrapreneurs?

  • 9 Secrets To Digital Nomading - Success Unscrambled | Blog Traffic Tips | Business Success Stories
I think you will agree with me that there is so much hype around digital nomading that it is difficult to decipher what is the best way to get started.

If you are still wondering if digital nomading is suitable for you I think you will appreciate this post.  I am going to help you understand what it is and how you can get started.

The important thing that you need to consider is if it suitable for you right now or sometime in the future.  If you are a parent of very young children it may be a good fit.

However, if your children are already in elementary and/or high school there is much more that needs to be considered other than food, clothing and shelter.

Let's spend some time looking at what it is in the first instance before we run ahead of ourselves.
    Digital Nomading Meaning
The art of travelling around the world while making a living remotely via the Internet.  There are many people who work remotely from a single location all year round but they are not digital nomads just remote workers.

Some small business owners would travel for 6 months of the year while running their business.  They then remain located in their home country for the other 6 months.

I guess that can be considered digital nomading part-time as they do travel for 50% of the time.  Others do a similar set up for varying portions of the year.

Let's not be too picky about who should be in or out of this category because the purpose of digital nomading is that it gives you that flexibility.

The reason people embark on this career path is that they want the flexibility of getting the best of both worlds.  Why remain in an unhappy place when you can live your purpose?

    Digital Nomading Jobs
One of the key elements that differentiate the digital nomad from the location independent entrepreneur is that the digital nomading lifestyle can be either an employee or an entrepreneur.

So let's spend some time looking at the kind of jobs that would lend itself to this lifestyle.  Bear in mind that these jobs will need to be timezone agnostic.

    * Video Editing
    * Blogging
    * Copywriting
    * Graphic Design
    * Writing
    * Podcasting
    * Project Management
    * Product Management
    * Programming

I am only supplying a shortlist this time as there can be many more that can be added.  The idea here is to get you thinking of what roles are possible for you.
    Digital Nomading Salary
When it comes to salary the honest truth is that there are no hard and fast rules as to what is a minimum wage.  Obviously, it depends on the company that is hiring you and where they are based.

If you decide to generate an income of your own the gold standard across the digital nomad world is within the six-figure range.

an income of US$120,000 a year seems to be a comfortable range to allow for accommodation, leisure travel, daily expenses and savings for a rainy day.

Many people who get into digital nomading say that they don't even need that much money.   They choose to live in cities with a low cost of living.

Everyone is different in terms of their goals and objectives so spend some time researching and make a plan that is suitable for you.
    Popular Digital Nomading Cities
As part of your research you would need to spend time mapping out the countries and corresponding cities you would like to visit.

Of course, you can decide to be spontaneous in your approach after arriving in a country.  You still want to do some prior research for your safety and security.

The problem is many businesses and entrepreneurs struggle with taking an idea from conception to virtual business especially with so many gaps in the information that is available for those wanting to start.
Before I run ahead of myself and you have no idea what I am talking about then let's pause a while to define what is a location independent entrepreneur.

A location independent entrepreneur is some who is an entrepreneur or gets started in business but their location is dynamic or not set.

  • 5 High Paying Affiliate Programs That’ll Pay You $10,000 A Month - Success Unscrambled | Blog Traffic Tips | Business Success Stories
High paying affiliate programs are difficult to find. If you are like me and you have been doing affiliate marketing for 2, 5, or 10 years and you have not experienced sufficient return on investment then you will find this post interesting.

Here's why there is a multitude of affiliate programs available in the marketplace but very few pay very well.  Also, very few will help you to retire in your 20s, 30s, 40s or 50s.

Don't get me wrong affiliate marketing as a vehicle to get you banking revenue.  It is achievable in double quick time. So it is an amazing way to cash in on targeted traffic without doing too much content creation.

Hands up for anyone who wants to be an affiliate for 5-20 years and still living pay cheque to pay cheque?  Or better still who else does not want to become a millionaire or a 6-figure earner from affiliate marketing?

If you are thinking about becoming an affiliate marketer or continue on that journey with a view to becoming a 6-figure earner at a minimum then you need to read on.

    Affiliate Marketing For Dummies
Before I go into any detail about high paying affiliate programs let first explain the whole concept of affiliate marketing.

If you are brand new to this concept let me explain.  Affiliate marketing is the idea of marketing products and/or services to an audience on behalf of a vendor or seller.

In layperson's terminology, it is the ability to learn as much as possible about a product or service that is not yours and selling it on to a targeted audience in exchange for a payment called a commission.

To give you an example, everyone knows Amazon as a place to buy lots of consumer goods and services.  You can become an affiliate of Amazon and advertise their products and services on your website.

Once someone purchases a product or service using your affiliate link then Amazon will pay you a commission as a thank you for helping them make that sale.

The commission is normally not great at 4% but at least you didn't have to do too much to convince that person to make a purchase.

Best Affiliate Programs To Make Money
Well, you will agree with me that a 4% commission is not a great place to start if your goal is to make $10,000 a month, is it?

Let's do some maths if the average product purchased on Amazon is $35.00 then your commission will be $1.40 for each item sold.

Suppose you decide to focus on high priced items found on Amazon like a digital SLR camera which retails at $335.00?  Now, that is a great move right, I mean the commission payment on a single camera is a $13.40.

You just need 100 people to buy cameras from your site every week and you will be 50% of the way to achieving your $10,000 a month.
    Non-recurring
How often do people buy cameras?  If you are an enthusiast maybe once every 2-4 years.  Others who are not enthusiast maybe once every 5-10 years.

There are many other affiliate marketing programs to make money like Rakuten, Share a Sale, VigLink, JVZoo, Clickbank, Pepperjam and many more.

You will be able to make money but do you want to just make money or do you prefer to make a living?  Ask any super affiliate and they will tell you that there are better ways to earn commissions using high paying affiliate programs.

  • How To Buy The Perfect Planner Of Your Dreams - Success Unscrambled | Blog Traffic Tips | Business Success Stories
I think you will agree with me that it is very difficult to see the value of investing in a planner every year when you only use 50% of all the different pages and sections that it offers.

The problem is that many planners tend to be very generic and/or geared to the person who made it.  The truth is it took me years of completing planner after planner to realise that what I need this year would be different to what I needed 2 years ago.

Once I started getting results and fully utilising daily, weekly and monthly planners did I realise that it is very possible that every person will set goals differently and will have a different way of using planners.

The impact of using a planner really increased my success rate of accomplishing projects over and over again. It saved me a lot of time and moved me by leaps and bounds in my blog and business.

In this post, I am going to teach you how to use 15 different planner features that will not only save you time but take you from procrastinating to goal achievement.

    Project Based Planning
One of the ways I was able to achieve my goals quickly is by using my planner to achieve goals based on projects rather than looking at it from a monthly goal.

At first, this may not seem to make sense but look at it from this perspective. Say I wanted to launch a podcast I know I would need content and technology as well as listeners to get me there.

I would first look at the content that I am comfortable at producing together with my passion.  I will work on my mindmap to produce the skeleton of the content for 3-6 months.

When I do that I have not set any deadlines yet as I want to not feel too pressured to launch until I get the technology arranged.

I look at all the technology available from microphones to podcast hosting to available budget and even podcast coaching.

    Project Kick-Off
I wait until I am 50% or more of the way there and then I start entering things into my planner.  One main reason that I use this approach is that many times I have to wait for other people to switch on the technology before I go live.

We all live in a society where we are dependent on other people to do their part in order for us to take us to the next stage of our project.

For example, I needed a logo and social media images that were made by other people.  I also needed to use podcast editing software to get me through post-production.

There are other things like getting accepted into iTunes and other podcasting directories that can take some time. As I decided to do guest interviews I needed to wait for other people's diaries to get the perfect timing.

In some cases, the technology does not work the way you want it to so you may need to record the show again or higher someone else to make it sound good.

It has been a year since I started my podcast and it is shocking that I got this far but I have to say it is because I treated it like a project rather than the normal to do list.
    Monthly Goal Planner
Everyone works differently and are more productive at different times of the day compared to other people.  When it comes to monthly goals my preference is to work on one or two projects a month.

The reason why I limit myself so much is that life still needs to happen in the background.  Stuff like eating sleeping, doing the laundry, cleaning up the house, working, grocery shopping, etc., still needs to get done.

In my monthly goal planner, I will batch my work by the week leaving sufficient room for life emergencies like when my children have unexpected things like a toothache and earaches.

Just because I am sitting in a doctor's office or on the bus does not mean I have lost time, in fact,

  • 5 Practical Tips To Become An Entrepreneur - Success Unscrambled | Blog Traffic Tips | Business Success Stories
Hello you! I think you will agree with me that it is difficult to become an entrepreneur without taking the time to make a plan for your business.

The problem is that many people would like to leave the 9-5 world and start their journey into entrepreneurship but they don't know how to become an entrepreneur.

I spent some time speaking with Fabienne Raphael who is an online business consultant, speaker and podcaster.  She helps experts transition from corporate to entrepreneur.

She does this by helping them build a thriving business and finally live their lives on their terms.

    Why She Helps Experts
Fabienne cherishes the role that she has in changing people's lives. Every entrepreneur goes into business with the intention of changing the lives of others in some way.

She believes that it is a privilege that she can help others in their quest to change lives positively. She gets really excited when she sees the results that he clients achieve.

So, she wakes up every day really motivated doing what she does.
    What She Enjoys
She enjoys the interaction and likes working with people because she is a people person.  She is also an introvert.

When she does her work, she loves speaking with people, seeing what influence it brings to their lives and how she can help them.  Also, how she can be of service.

Being an introvert she enjoys having that time for herself as it gives her the opportunity to think, to reflect and to make sure that she is the best person when she is around people.

She does need the alone time once in a while. Indeed, she enjoys seeing the results and also the relationship that she develops with her clients helping them achieve their goals is really important to her.
How She Helps Her Clients Transition
In order for her to help anyone, the person must first feel the need to make that move from being an employee to become an entrepreneur.

Most of her clients are people who have had their dream for a while or thinking if there any other solution or any other option for them to earn more money.

The first important thing is the person needs to feel it for themselves. If they try to do it to please someone else then it will not work.

The pathway to becoming an entrepreneur is quite challenging so that person will not be motivated to achieve the necessary daily tasks that have been set to get to that end goal.
    Zone of Genius
When a person feels that call to become an entrepreneur then they need to decide what they want to build in their online business or as a coach.  They need to know what they can teach people.

They need to think of what solution they can provide to people who are actively looking for what they plan to offer. It is crucial because some people are passionate about many things.

As a prospective entrepreneur, you will need to be clear about your expertise and ask yourself "What is my zone of genius?"

Ultimately, you need to be sure that you can provide a solution.  "Are people actively looking for the solution and are they ready to pay for it?"

If they are just looking for a solution and they are not ready to invest in it your idea may not be marketable.

    People Without Passion
Often times I meet people who are unsure about their passion.  Fabienne suggests that these people should conduct a survey asking their family and friends to find out what they believe is this person is good at doing.

Many times this is a great way to see your skills from someone's perspective.  It is like taking a view from the outside with someone looking at you for who you are and what you do.

  • Interview Tells You 5 Secrets of Pioneers In Skirts - Success Unscrambled | Blog Traffic Tips | Business Success Stories
Our special guest on this episode is Ashley.  Ashley Maria is a Filmmaker living in Los Angeles and she makes movies for a living.

She is making a documentary called Pioneers in Skirts.  It has been her passion project and full-time project for the last few years.

Outside of this project, you can find Ashley working on set, teaching others and working on her next narrative.  She is always looking for other stories that she wants to tell.

    About Pioneers In Skirts
The documentary, Pioneers In Skirts, started 5 years ago when Ashley came out of film school.  She saw that the potential for her career as a director in Hollywood was not very good.

She came to the realisation that less than 4% of the studio directors in Hollywood were women.  Even a lower percentage of women are producers, cinematographers and sound people.

"I don't see how I can really play a role in this if I'm not going to get opportunities because it looks like my other colleagues aren't getting opportunities either."

This was Ashley's conclusion after evaluating the culture at the time.  She started thinking that after many years of film school this is not for her.

Luckily, she has a Mother who knew that film was Ashley's passion since the age of 4.  Her Mother told her that there is something going on. something deeper.  You see Ashely's Mother faced the very same challenges when she started her career in film.

For 5 years she decided to work towards finding a solution.  The conversation in the culture of male-dominated professions at the time was that women needed to work harder to succeed.

Internally, Ashley knew she was working really hard but she did not get the expected return on her investment of hard work.

As a result, the film grew from just being advice to women entering male-dominated professions.  The film now addresses culture, especially the American culture that is preventing women from really succeeding in their chosen careers.

The Authenticity of Pioneers In Skirts
Ashley proposes that this is a genuine and authentic story of what's going on in women's careers right now.  The film investigates what we can do in terms of strategy and solution to give women the chance they deserve.

As a society, we talk about what is going on internally and externally.  Young women coming out of college are often stunned by what's going on in terms of the biases and sexism but they don't realise that this is happening.

They get into their careers with the same or higher level of ambition and potential as their male counterparts and it only takes 2 years for their ambition to plummet by 60%.

These young women look at their careers and potentials and they think that maybe it is not as good as they expected or dreamed.

This is the backbone behind the film Pioneers In Skirts.  It is reclaiming those dreams and careers with tangible advice. Giving them steps to take and true stories about what happened to other women and what to do to address the biases.

Ashley's own story is in the film.
What Do You Enjoy Most About Your Career?
She loves telling stories and working with her crew especially on the passion project.

Pioneers In Skirts is an independent film.  This means that they have a small and very limited budget but it also means that they get to control the trajectory of the project.

Ashley works hard with a team that believes in the topic. So they help elevate the project to a quality similar to high budget movies that you can find in Theatres.

This means you'll get a mix of great mix of great quality together with a ground roots type of story that is relatable...

  • 9 Time Saving LinkedIn Sales Navigator Features - Success Unscrambled | Blog Traffic Tips | Business Success Stories
Hello you!  Have you ever heard of LinkedIn Sales Navigator?  If not, it is a paid tool used mainly by someone in a sales prospecting capacity to help generate leads.

Well, let's see, I am trying to think of a tool that is similar to this one application.  I personally have not used any that is similar for a significant amount of time.

At one point I do remember using Zoom.info for a short while but that is about it.  Essentially, you can look at it as the business version of Facebook.

Here's why, because many people have voluntarily placed their professional information on LinkedIn in so that it is publicly available.

One good reason is that most recruiters and recruiting companies look on LinkedIn to find their next new hire.  A very easy way to be found if you are job hunting is to create a LinkedIn profile.

Most people, after finding their new job will tend to leave their details on LinkedIn because they want to maintain a former customer and work colleague relationship.

    1. Advanced + Boolean Search
One of the key advantages of the LinkedIn Sales Navigator over and above the free version of LinkedIn is the ability to access advanced search with boolean capabilities.

If you never heard the term boolean before it just means using logic in your search.  For example, all CEOs who are not Interim or not Acting will look like this 'CEO NOT Acting'.

If you can picture someone's title on their LinkedIn profile they tend to put their job title.  If you are prospecting and you are looking for a certain person based on a title this is a great way to decipher who's who.

The advanced search also gives you a whole lot of features that are not available in the free version of LinkedIn the ability to filter your search by country, postcode, industry, function, company, company headcount and groups (love this one).

This is definitely a huge time saver as it allows you to narrow down your search so that you are focused on getting great results.

Of course, you will need to know who your ideal client is in great detail in order to reap the benefit of using these complex search features.
    2. Weekly Leads
After conducting your advanced search on the LinkedIn Sales Navigator you are advised to save the search.  You will notice that you will have the option to get a fresh batch of leads weekly now that your search parameters have been saved.

This is a huge time saver as it allows you to receive a fresh batch of leads every week that you can start working on if you are prospecting for sales.

In case you are wondering you do have the ability to have several saved lead list in the system.  This means you can receive 5-10 batches of fresh leads every week.

So for example, if your ideal client is MDs in the Fashion industry in all major cities across the world then this is possible.  You can have a separate list for every city in the world.

So the title will be MD, the industry will be Fashion and the city will be London or New York or whatever city you choose.

Your list can be further filtered by employee size or by people who belong to a certain group on LinkedIn.
    3. Activity in the Last 30 Days
The best people to prospect on LinkedIn are those who are active on a regular basis.  Another key feature of LinkedIn Sales Navigator is the ability to see who has been active over the last 30 days.

Once the results of your search loads in the system you will notice that there is a header at the top showing you the following filters:

    * Total results
    * Changed job in the last 90 days
    * Leads with TeamLink intro
    * Mentioned in the news in the last 30 days
