We invite Greg Wegis on the show to talk about his experience in working on a farm to transitioning to managing the farm. Greg and his partners then Founded Wegis & Young Property Management and now serve over 11,000 acre operation through farm management for outside investors. They grow almonds, pistachios, table grapes, alfalfa, corn, milo, wheat and carrots. Greg is also largely involved in Agriculture Business Leadership. He is a great advocate for the Ag space.

Greg tells a great story of his history with ag. The conversation gets deep with the ups and downs ag life can bring to a family carrying a legacy through multiple generations. Currently Managing Director for the Western U.S. for Gladstone Land Corporation, a publicly traded farmland Real Estate Investment (REIT) firm. Bill has helped build the REIT's portfolio of assets from $50 million worth of coastal berry ground to nearly $600 Million worth of well diversified high value farmland all over the the Western U.S. Specifically concentrating in almonds and pistachios in the San Joaquin Valley. Bill has dedicated much time to industry leadership and support over the years, past Chairman of the California Strawberry Commission and the past Chairman of Ventura County As Association.
