Alison and Timothy discuss The Year Without a Summer – 1816 – which found Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin (soon to be Shelley), Claire Clairmont, Dr. Polidori, Percy Shelley, and Lord Byron together in Switzerland. These remarkable events birthed the creation of Polidori’s story, "The Vampyre" (which inspired Dracula), and the incredible novel, "Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus" by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley.
