Jesus spoke about those who mourn. He said that those who mourn will be comforted. We serve a God who cares about what concerns us. Those who have been redeemed and saved from sin, are grieved when they see sin and wickedness in the world. Followers of Jesus mourn over the effects of sin on this world. But we don't stay in a place of sadness. We trust that Jesus has conquered sin and death, and one day, we will see the fullness of His victory. As we follow Jesus, may our hearts be soft and grieve over what grieves the heart of God.
