This is a series for listeners of all ages. We hope that you learn about Nehemiah and The Children of Israel rebuilding the wall.

Have you ever had a major task or project to complete in a short period of time and you believe that it was impossible while others believed it was doable? Sometimes we see life with a pair of negatively tented glasses don’t we? Life is not filled with gloom and doom nor is it a pie in the sky waiting for you to enjoy a few slices. God tells us to live by faith as we trust HIM daily. Too much worry, we faint, too much of a free spirit, we will refuse to see God. In our story Nehemiah refuses to leave until the people complete the construction on the wall. Despite all of the traps and reality he trusts God and remains busy. In your life, do you remain true to God even when you are burdened with distractions and reality? When we remain true to Him, we are really reaffirming our belief in God.

Have you ever seemed to have extra just to see it disappear before your eyes? Or have you seemed to barely have enough just to see it last longer than the extra that you thought you had? Why is that? I believe God allows those that put HIM first and are generous to the less fortunate, to prosper more than those that seem to have plenty. The bible says in Haggai 1:4-7 “Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste? Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.” We should consider our ways and seek to never be the same as others.

The Samaritans devise a sinister plan to keep the temple from being constructed. Will the Israelites ever complete the temple?

Has anyone ever lied to get you into trouble of which you were innocent? Sometimes people make wild stories up so that others can take the fall. In our story the counselors for the King have tricked him to sign a law that states that no one can pray for 30 days. However, the King was so blinded by their cunning words that he punished Daniel by having him thrown into the lion’s den. Will Daniel survive this feline encounter or will he be torn to bits?
