Garry Abbott // God's church is one of the rare organizations that exists not simply for its members, but also for those who are not. In this final week of the Vision series, we explore how to make Summit a place that feels like home--especially to those who've never walked through the door.
What if the purpose of that relationship isn’t about you at all? What if it’s always been about all of us together? Our faith is personal, but it was never, ever meant to be private.

O.J. Aldrich // Change and disruption are a guarantee in this life, but what we do in those moments shapes the course of our character--both as individuals, and as a church.

John Parker // Pastor John Parker reflects on the last 20 years of Summit Church. God has been leading us along a path through many peaks, valleys, and even rocky terrain—yet somehow taking us exactly where he wants us to go, and shaping us into the exactly who he’s made us to be.

Kailey Newkirk // Have you ever wondered what the purpose of your relationship with God actually is? Is it to make you better behaved? Is it to make sure you get to heaven?

Kailey Newkirk // It's hard to get people to agree on anything these days. Pop culture. Sports. Politics. Is Taco Bell an appropriate restaurant for breakfast. Jesus calls his church to find unity in the depths conviction, but we can barely find unity in the shallows of preference. How does a church filled with different people who all have different ideas manage to become unified? By realizing that there's something in me that might need to be changed.

Kailey Newkirk // Jesus prays that his church would be unified, but what does that mean exactly?
Does it mean we believe all the same things? Talk the same ways? Worship in the same styles? Not necessarily. Unity isn't uniformity, but rather embracing something that holds us together which is stronger than the things that tear us apart.

Oscar Muriu// In the hustle bustle of our day to day lives we tend to push friendship to the back burner, but the need for good friendships is something children somehow understand innately. In this third edition of our Return to Wonder series, Bishop Oscar Muriu of Nairobi Chapel appeals to the eternal ramifications of prioritizing and cultivating good friendships that point us toward Christ.

Elizabeth Cronlund // Childlike faith is not only about our relationship with God, but also how we experience creation. As we grow up, we may believe we're 'finished' with learning and growing. But God isn't done with us yet.

Johnny Outing // Many of us are living in the unconscious tension of hardened hearts and in return, we have hardened the hearts of the children around us. We have fallen into the “this is just who I am” ideology, not realizing that we are creating a pattern of dysfunction in the hearts and minds of the young people around us.
Jesus is clearly stating in this passage that we have a lot to learn from children in order for us to be a part of the kingdom.

Garry Abbott // As we finish up our look at wisdom in a world of information, we explore how to use our words with wisdom. Our words reveal truths about who we are and the scriptures remind us of their power to bring either blessings or curses to the world around us. Using our words wisely will bring life to the people God has given us to love.
