It's Mother's Day! For some people is a wonderful celebration, for others it is a difficult reminder of struggle, loss, or imperfection. But regardless of what this day may invoke in you, you have a God who is for you, who wants to bless you...And part of His amazing design uses motherhood as a force for good in a troubled world.

Thousands of years ago, God directed the people of Israel to establish "Cities of Refuge." These cities were havens for people on the run from men who were after blood. In the same way today, God makes Himself a refuge for us.

The first week after Easter, we take a look at a unique detail mentioned in John's Gospel...a detail that makes a huge difference for God's people in a dark and troubled world.

Have you ever experienced being in a jail cell? We all have been trapped in the prison of our sin...and you may still be there. But Jesus offers freedom--freedom from the sin you feel stuck in, freedom from the sins of your past, and freedom for your future to no longer walk in bondage to sin.
