What happens when you pray, seek God, and obey and you still end up in the lion's den? In this week's conclusion of the Daniel series, we address one more crucial trait of an excellent spirit: Perseverance!

Chapter 6 reveals another key moment in Daniel's life where his faith was tested. He had to make a choice to obey God rather than men, regardless of the potentially deadly consequences. These kind of choices, over a lifetime, gave Daniel a consistent witness toward the numerous kings Daniel served.

This week from Daniel chapter 5, we look at "The Writing on the Wall" --the word of caution given to King Belshazzar, and the judgement God delivered to him. Belshazzar turned his back on God and embraced a life of drunkenness, sin, and mockery of God.

This week from Daniel chapter 5, we look at Daniel's faithfulness to serve the king. God had uniquely gifted Daniel and he was faithful to use his gifts for God's glory and not for his own gain.

"Surely I Am With You Always..." What a promise from the one who has been given all authority in heaven and earth! Let us always remember that Jesus has, is, and will forever keep His promises to us!

Throughout Jesus' ministry, He had many simple but powerful encounters with people that were marginalized or looked down upon. Perhaps none are more profound than Jesus' encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well.

Now today, we have the opportunity to learn from the things that Daniel and his friends did, in a difficult time, to continue to honor their God.
