Jesus was surrounded by crowds as He performed many miracles, and rightly so. The people were ecstatic about what Jesus could do for them--they would have even gone so far as to describe themselves as "Christians." But Jesus has never been impressed with the naive enthusiasm of those who claim to follow after Him. Jesus draws a line in the sand--three of them, actually--and His teaching makes us wonder, "Does everyone have the ability to be a follower of Jesus Christ?"

How we view God has drastic effects on our world. While you cannot change God, your narrow view of God and His power can limit His impact and blessings in your life.

Let's expand our faith and our understanding of how great our God is...

No, there is no typo in that title. We're talking about giving up giving up. There are spiritual implications involved in being committed and faithful in what we do. People often give up on things when they face difficulty or opposition, but if we give up too soon, we will never see the reward God desires for us.

We have a God who will never give up on us, so we should be people who do not give up on Him.

Since the very first encounter with sin, we have been blaming others. Adam blamed Eve; Eve blamed the serpent; we blame our culture, our friends, our enemies, or our circumstances. The lie about blaming is that we free ourselves of blame. But blame only causes the chains of our sin to tighten.

When we give up blame, we can experience the freedom that comes from God's grace.

Lent is about learning to live the life that God wants you to live. We can't do that if our lives are full of impurity. In light of a Holy and Perfect God, are called to be set apart and DIFFERENT from the world.

"Rethinking Retirement" gave us an opportunity to prepare for and to realize the great opportunities we have to serve Christ for our entire lives...including retirement. This message helped us to discover what the Bible says about our work life and about the retirement years.

God wants us to make the most of every situation God has given us and every phase of life. He wants us to live with gladness of heart and purpose right up to the end.

Lent is a season where we give up something in order to gain perspective on God. In week one, Brad talked about giving up our man-made comfort zones that keep us from finding true comfort in Christ.

In the last book of the Old Testament, God lets us in on a secret that, once unlocked, opens the flood-gates of heaven. It is a promise too valuable to purchase and too precious to leave unclaimed. Our generosity leads to a life of blessing.

This "Revolutionary Generosity" presents us with the challenge of a lifetime that leads you to promises for eternity.

Week 2 of "All In" we looked at the seemingly upside down view of God's economy. In order to build the Kingdom of God, we have to do things that often seem contrary to the ways of this world.

With generosity, it's not a matter of money, it's a matter of the heart.
