Summit Church Sermon Podcast

This week Pastor Dan looks at one of the Apostle Paul's teachings about communion, and the grace that is given to us in the process.

Pastor Alan is a retired pastor who calls Summit Church his home. We're excited to have him preach this Sunday about finding Joy in our God and not in our circumstances.

Pastor Chuck Zook teaches from the Apostle Paul's letter to the Ephesian church of how we are to be imitators of God.

This week we heard from a guest speaker from within our church family, Virgil Tanner. In the synoptic gospels, there is a phrase that is translated, "moved with compassion." This phrase says much about Jesus' heart, God's heart, and the heart we should have for others as we show the world our compassionate God.

This week we heard a message from Pastor Chuck Zook, looking back at the Old Testament and the Ark of the Covenant to see what they teach us about the holy presence of God.

"Do not let your hearts be troubled." These words of Jesus transcend time and culture. Every person throughout all history has experienced trouble in various forms. But also, Jesus' answer for trouble, in the verses that follow, transcends time and culture and applies to us today!

This week, we looked at 1 Thessalonians 1-2 to see how Paul encouraged the church of Thessalonica and how we can use that as a model for encouraging one another. In so doing, we will both bring honor others and please God.

This week, we took a journey into the wisdom of King Solomon. His ancient insights were not merely the result of education or a kingly position. They came from a foundation of faith.

This week, Pastor Dan Miller takes us to Hebrews 11 to look at the kind of life that pleases God. Here we see the names of many whose strong faith brought God pleasure, honor, and glory.

This week, Pastor Dan Miller continues a teaching series called, "Salt and Light." In this series, he emphasizes the important role Christ-followers have in our communities and our world, to effect change and point people to Christ.
