Jamey Nettles | The parables of Jesus continue with a growing emphasis on the way the Kingdom of God spreads. As Mark has shown us often, Jesus again upends the expectations of what people think of when they think of a King establishing a rule and reign. We may not always know how, but the Kingdom will spread. And for those of us who know this Kingdom and it’s King, we get to play a part in bringing light to dark places, and making the hidden things manifest to the cosmos.

Jamey Nettles | The message of the Kingdom that Jesus continues to preach is so counter cultural that even His own biological family thinks He is crazy, and they even seek Him out to put an end to His "nonsense". But Jesus makes it clear that those that are His true family are those that obey the will of the Father, which is to repent and believe the gospel.

Jamey Nettles | As Jesus continues His earthly ministry, the central mission of the Kingdom comes into clearer focus. He is not here to simply make physical ailments go away. Jesus is here to make the spiritually sick whole and to bring redemption to broken sinners in need of a Savior.
