Jamey Nettles | God's ultimate goal in all He does is to bring glory to Himself. This is good news for humanity because we are invited to find our deepest satisfaction in enjoying Him and making His glory known among the nations.

Jamey Nettles | God has given His people the greatest of all possible gifts: a loving, secure, personal relationship with Himself through Jesus Christ. We especially enjoy this relationship as we hear from God through His Word and talk to God in prayer. Why then do so many of us find prayer so difficult? God’s not angrily waiting for us to get our act together. He sympathizes with our weakness and lovingly invites us into a more joy-filled life of prayer.

The sabbath day pointed back to God’s glory in creation, but it also pointed forward to the new creation that was to come through Jesus. Jesus modeled intentional, weekly rest as an act of worship and faith in God, then he died and rose again to purchase our souls’ eternal rest in God. Jesus calls us to rest by faith in the Good News of the Gospel and to follow Him in weekly rhythms of good work and holy rest.

Jamey Nettles | What does it look like to follow Jesus at home in the everyday stuff of life? In Jesus our home lives are sacred, holy unto the Lord. Each of us - children and parents, single adults and married couples - has been graciously entrusted with a calling in our own homes that’s significant in God’s kingdom. The Spirit of Jesus is with us not just when we walk out our front doors to go on mission. He’s also with us in our dining rooms and dens, empowering us to be disciples who make disciples every day.

Jamey Nettles | Disciples of Jesus are made for community. We’ve been born again into God’s family, not just into a personal relationship with God. But family is messy. Community takes work. What does it look like to follow Jesus in real Gospel community with one another, especially with the current challenges we’re all facing today? Jesus hasn’t left us alone to figure out community for ourselves. He walks patiently with us and empowers us to love each other well by His Spirit.

Jamey Nettles | What’s your story? We all construct some kind of story of who we are and where we’re going. As disciples of Jesus, we’ve been caught up into God’s great drama of redemption in which Jesus is the hero, not us. In this teaching we’ll learn about how to share our story and God’s story to a world that needs to hear.

Dave Baker | The Gospel tells us who God is, what He’s done for us through Jesus, and who we now are in Him. God has given us a whole new identity in our relationship to Him. The more we see and believe the truth of who we are in Jesus, the more our hearts and lives will reflect that reality.

Jamey Nettles | The saving grace of God through Jesus is completely free, never earned. And yet the Bible says that this free salvation is a package deal - to say yes to Jesus’s cross is also to gladly say yes to His crown. When we receive Jesus’s grace we also receive Jesus Himself as King over every area of our hearts and lives. In Him we find our identity, our direction, and our ultimate satisfaction.

Jamey Nettles | With the pandemic affecting many aspects of daily life, it would be easy to disengage both spiritually and relationally. But God wants us to draw closer to Him in these hard days, not father away. Disciples follow Jesus both in times of flourishing and crisis - not just “one day” when it’s easier, but everyday.
