Today we hear from Pastor Terry that we should praise the Lord all the time no matter the circumstances. We learn that after being captured for 70 years the Jewish people were able to praise the Lord as they rebuilt the temple. They could have complained and gave up but instead they chose to worship and praise. Just like we were all created to worship and praise our God. In fact, scripture says one day all people young and old from every nation will sing forever praises to the Lord. God wants us to know Him and enjoy Him. Won’t you start by praising Him today?

We are reminded today from Pastor Terry that God has a perfect plan for us. In fact, this plan has been established in the spiritual realm since before the foundations of the earth. We also know that God says He will complete this work that He has for us. Christian, take comfort in this truth. At times, life can be cruel. It can get really hard. Satan wants to bring you down. He wants discourage and frustrate you. He wants you to believe lies. Stay focused on the Lord. He never leaves, He never fails and He WILL accomplish the plan that He created for you. Trust in Him.

This morning on Easter we learn a very important truth from Pastor Terry as he teaches about the two disciples that walked along the road after the crucifixion. We hear that these men were having a heated discussion about the events of the day. What they didn’t realize was this man that approached them was Jesus. They were distraught not knowing what happen to the body. They were confused trying to put all the pieces together. They failed to see their Savior was with them all along, He never really left. Just like He is always with you. It’s a promise, He will never leave.

Jesus has the answers. He is the best and only solution. Have you tried Him? Today Pastor Terry reminds us that Jesus is always available, He does not cost anything and even provides you with HIS power to ensure success. We learn that as the two disciples walked along the road discussing the crucifixion Jesus approached them. Not recognizing Him, they went on to discuss the events of the day trying to figure out what happen. Eventually their eyes were open to see it was Jesus that had been with them and He had the answers all along.

Today Pastor Terry reminds us that Jesus has power over death. In this scripture a mother has just lost her son. As the funeral is taking place Jesus is walking by with many of h=His disciples. He sees the broken mother and has compassion on her. He then walks over, stops the funeral and brings the boy back to life. As sinners, we are also dead. However, Jesus can bring us back to life. In fact, it’s the reason He went to the cross. He wants to save us. He wants to give us life. It’s a free gift. We just have to accept it. Will you accept the gift?

Today we hear from Pastor Terry that we need to get Jesus in order to have eternal life. Only through Jesus can we live forever. In the teaching today we hear about a boy that was dead until he collided with The Savior, Jesus Himself. Jesus touched him and he came back to life. The good news is that Jesus is really easy to “get”. You just have to admit that you are a sinner, believe that Jesus went to the cross to forgive that sin and then choose to ask Him into your heart. He won’t push, He is waiting for an invitation. In fact, nothing would please Him more. Will you invite Him?

Today Pastor Terry challenges us to get direction from the Lord as we come to church. He asks us to get rid of distractions just for a little bit so that we may hear what God has for us. This is what the Jewish Pilgrims would do. Just like a servant with their master, they would intently seek direction for their life. God is always speaking. He is always working. He has a wonderful plan for your life and He wants you to know it. He wants you to hear Him. What distractions do you need to remove? Remove them today and listen for the Lord.

The Bible is our life manual. Today Pastor Terry will remind us that if we want to be blessed then we should do what it says. In the world today too many people want to do their own thing, and then they wonder why life does not turn out so well. It’s very simple actually, if we obey God good things will happen. If we don’t then they won’t. Life is about Him and His ways not us and our ways. We seem to get it all wrong. Today’s society in general thinks that the world was created for them, in reality we were created by and for God. If we would think of Him first then our actions would align with the word of God and our life lives would be blessed.

Today Pastor Terry reminds of the importance of unity. The message in this Psalm can’t be underestimated. As Christians we need to keep unity within the body at all costs. In this Psalm we hear that unity is like a refreshing fragrance and a precious ointment. It is even says those who keep unity will be blessed. The world is not unified. Most people are out for themselves. If we want to represent Christ, if we want others to know Him then there needs to be something different about us. The church body needs to be a sanctuary from the ways of the world.

Today we hear from Pastor Terry that love covers a multitude of sin. We can all love one another. It’s a command from the Lord. Although we are all at different places in our walk, different levels of maturity we can still love one another. Some in the church may be brand new Christians, some may be walking with the Lord for many years but it doesn’t change the way we should love one another and have peace amongst the body. In fact, if we do not love the way God has commanded it could actually keep our brothers and sisters from growing in ways in which they need to.
