How often do you tell God that you love Him? Do you ever really think about it? Today Pastor Terry challenges us to write down all the reasons we have to love Him. If you really think about it and focus on it, you will probably find too many to write down. God has done so much for us. His love is amazing, unending and unchanging. In fact, God loves us so much that He gave up His only son for us even though we don’t deserve it. What option do we have but to love Him and serve Him all the days of our life? Nothing could be better.

Psalm 92 says that it is good to praise the Lord. Pastor Terry encourages us to worship the Lord and praise Jesus on a daily basis. Having a heart of worship and an attitude of praise keeps our eyes on Jesus and off the things of this world. When we continually acknowledge how awesome our God is, we are filled a radiant faith and hope that gives us joy each day. Those that do not acknowledge the Lord’s goodness and sovereignty on earth should fear and tremble. A day of reckoning for the wicked is coming when all lawless men will face judgment.

Pastor Terry fills us with excitement today as he reads through psalms that reveal what the earth will be like after Jesus’s return. Christ will rule a world that will be full of righteousness, holiness, peace and rest. Scripture tells us that when the Lord Jesus sits down in Jerusalem, His children will burst forth in a new joyous song of praise. All of creation will rejoice at the coming of the promised King. Scripture says that the ocean will roar in approval and the trees will clap in praise. The earth, which was once in chaos, will produce healing fruits as it once did in the Garden of Eden.

Pastor Terry teaches us when David penned Psalm 101, he was being crowned king of Israel. David’s psalm informs us that the king was a great and wise leader who sought to rule with mercy and justice. However, as most of us know, King David was unable to escape the frailties of his flesh throughout the entirety of his reign. Unlike David, when Christ returns, He will perfectly fulfill the promises made in Psalm 101. Jesus will rule with holiness and will wipe away every enemy off of the face of the earth. Jesus will execute perfect judgment, and His glory and majesty will be known throughout the whole earth.

The Psalms are like no other book in the Bible in terms of ministering to the believer’s soul for encouragement in times of trouble. It is often said the Psalms are the best prescription for the suffering soul, and as Pastor Terry explains, Psalm 102 distinguishes itself in a very special way. We’ll hear the agony of Christ on the cross and the plea of the derided soul. The voice of our triune God is heard through JESUS agonizing journey on the cross in accomplishing our salvation. People yet to be created will praise The Lord according to this Psalm and all who read it will have great consolation in every generation.

The benefits we experience as God’s children are numerous… and so we can bless Him at all times. Pastor Terry helps us see the infinite mercy we experience on a daily basis through the eyes of the Psalmist. When we place our trust in God and praise Him simply because of Who He is… our tender loving Father, we can move freely throughout life no matter our circumstances. The heart of the Father is merciful toward us because He knows the nature of our frame. Here, The Lord gives us a peek into His cosmic chorus as He creates the world and everything in it for the glory of His Name.

Don’t walk away from the Lord. If you know what scripture says, obey it. Then, you will be blessed. This is the reminder from Pastor Terry today. He teaches that life is short. We need to stay focused on Jesus. We will hear that the nation of Israel didn’t listen and therefore suffered tragedy.

God is a patient God, He is full of love and grace. However, we need to learn from Israel today. Don’t make the same mistake. Listen to God. If not, we will suffer as well and endure consequences. The choice is ours. What will you do? Listen to His voice.

Heaven is coming. Jesus will set all things right. He is a just God. We hear this today from Pastor Terry and he tells us that life is short. He teaches that we need to do what’s right, we need to obey what God says. Just like the Psalmist we can be excited and look forward to being in the house of the Lord. As believers we know that He has prepared a place for us. There will be no more pain, no more tears. The streets will be gold and we will worship with God forever. Until then, walk close to Jesus. Stay focused on Him. Your life will be blessed.

We are not perfect people. We never will be. Even as Christians, we will mess up and we will fall down. Today, Pastor Terry reminds us that when this happens fellowship with God is broken. No matter if you think it was a big mistake or a small mistake. However the Bible also says if we confess our sin then He will forgive us and clean us of all unrighteousness. Our God is a gracious God. He gives second chances. He has not left, and He still loves us during these times. Get back up, and come back to Him today. He is waiting for you with arms open wide.

Have you ever been in despair? A place so low and dark you felt like you couldn’t get out? You feel like there is no light at the end of the tunnel or no breathe left in your lungs? Today Pastor Terry tells us this is where the Psalmist was in Psalm 88. The good news is that we are not alone. Not only have other people experienced this, but Jesus Himself did too. As He hung on the cross Jesus felt that same pain and therefore when we feel like this He understands. However, three days later there was victory. Not only for Jesus, but for us. Turn to Him today. He is waiting.
