Today we examine when James and John went to Jesus and asked to be sat at His right hand and His left hand. Many are just taken back that they would be so bold as to say such a thing. While they weren't asking for the right thing, Pastor Terry shows us today that they believed in the right thing. The believed that Jesus is King and that He had the power to make them royalty as well. They believed that He is God and is able to work miracles. They went to Him in faith. And while we need to not be asking for that power, we should be approaching Jesus in the same faith as they did.

Many these days find service to be a weakness. If you are one who serves others you're often thought of as lower than they. We are taught over and over in the Bible that humbling ourselves makes us great. We need to keep these truths that Pastor Terry is teaching us in the forefront of our minds. We can't get carried away by what the world thinks is great, but we should stay focused on what will make us great. Service to others, meaning, being there for others and humbling ourselves in service to them. Making ourselves the least in this world will give us greatness in heaven.
