The Lord commands all believers to submit to all governing authorities that have been placed over them. God is the one who has put those authorities in place for the purpose of keeping order. Now, if those governing authorities pass laws that command you to disobey the Word of God… then you have an obligation to obey God rather than to obey man. Do you submit to the authorities that have been placed over you? Purpose to renew your mind in the fact that by you submitting to the authorities… you are really submitting to God.

This section of scripture could be summed up in one word… LOVE. Jesus said: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength… and love your neighbor as yourself”. Love should always define your character because you have the Spirit of God living inside of you. All the commands of God are summed up with love. It is love that makes you shine bright in a dark world… because this world is filled with selfishness and hatred. Are you shining your love to the world?
