Even though it might feel like no one understands and no one knows what you're going through, there is One who does. Jesus! He came to this earth as a man and experienced everything that you and I would experience and yet He never sinned. So, next time you find yourself in a tight spot, remember that Jesus has been there too!

The book of 1 John is full of answers to this question. The one simple answer is that we must be clean and forgiven...but how?

Confession should be a major part of the life of a healthy believer. When we come in contact with the righteous standard of God's Word, it's inevitable...we will see our sinfulness. But, what we do with that understanding is more important than simply knowing. Just knowing you've sinned, isn't enough...you must go to God and ask Him to forgive you.

There can be no mistake about it...when you receive Jesus as your LORD and Savior, you're saved...you destiny is eternity with God! But, that doesn't negate the fact you will sin in this life. And probably one of the greatest blessings of all is the fact that you can be forgiven by simply admitting and confessing your sin to God.

This world, this existence is truly not our home. We are to live as aliens and sojourners in this life. But, many times we get comfortable in this life...we tend to slip into what I call, Christian suburbia...we play church instead of being the church. This is not God's will for our lives, He wants to use us as living testimonies of His grace and goodness.

There are three things that need to be constant in the lives of believer's. These three things MUST be present in our lives in order to ensure a healthy spiritual life. We must be engaged in fellowship, we must study God's Word, and we must spend time in prayer with our Father in heaven.

Ezra was a man of the Word. And today Pastor Terry exhorts us to follow Ezra's example. We should be diligent students of the Word of God. Not only for the various places that we might be teaching, but also for our own personal growth and relationship with God.
