  • 6/20/26: The Cycle We Keep Returning To

    Saturday Mass. 6.20.26.

We forget. We repent. We go back. In this homily, I reflect on the pattern of Israel's unfaithfulness and how it mirrors our own daily struggle with distraction, ego, and pride — and why we need to keep returning to the Lord.

  • 6/19/2026: Power, Pride, and the Treasure That Endures

    Friday Mass. 6.19.26

I give a homily on how King Ahab's legacy of sin led his descendants to murder and idolatry — and how God still protected His promises. Jesus calls us to stop storing up earthly treasures and start investing in what lasts: a life surrendered to Christ.

  • 6/17/26: For Whom Do You Pray?

    Wednesday Mass. 6.17.26.

I reflect on one of the hardest questions God ever asked me: "Do you love me, or do you love the gifts I can give you?" In this homily, I talk about how prayer, fasting, and almsgiving can quietly become performances — ways we seek praise from others rather than love God for His own sake. I also reflect on Elijah and Elisha, and what it means that God shares His portion with us today through the Holy Spirit, the Eucharist, and the Church. We are called to witness — not to look good, but to lead others back to the Lord.

  • 6/16/26: The Cost of Sin and the Gift of Mercy

    Tuesday Mass. 6.16.26.

In this homily, I walk through the story of King Ahab, Elijah, and what happens when God calls us to account for our sins. Sin is serious — but so is God's mercy. I reflect on the two extremes I see in the Church: those who are so afraid of God they can't approach Him, and those who are so comfortable they've stopped caring. The truth is both-and. God loves us too much to leave us in our sin, and His mercy is always available to those who repent.

  • 6/14/26: You Were Made to Be Sent

    Sunday Mass. 6.14.26.

Ordinary Time is not a waiting room. In this homily, I reflect on what it means to be sent by Jesus — and why your everyday life is the mission.

  • 6/12/26: The Sacred Heart That Loved You First

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. 6.12.26.

Homily for the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. We all fear the cross — but what if suffering is actually a sign of God's love, not His absence? Drawing from the lives of St. Margaret Mary and St. Faustina, I reflect on what it means to be invited into the heart of Jesus and learn to love like He loves.

  • 6/10/26: Four Hundred Fifty Against One

    Wednesday Mass. 6.10.26.

In this homily, I reflect on the dramatic showdown between Elijah and the four hundred fifty prophets of Baal — and what it reveals about our own struggle with false gods. The Israelites aren't so different from us. Our idols just look different today.

  • 6/08/26: The Pattern of God's People Is Our Pattern Too

    Monday Mass. 6.08.26.

In this homily, I reflect on the story of Elijah and how God provided for him even in hiding — and what that means for us today. The pattern of God's people in Scripture is our pattern too: we drift, we struggle, and yet God remains faithful. Faithfulness isn't about the big moments. It's built in the small ones, day after day, as we journey through ordinary time with Jesus.

  • 6/01/26: Sharing in the Divine Nature

    Monday mass. 6.01.26.

In this homily, I reflect on the feast of St. Justin Martyr — a philosopher who searched for truth until he found it in Christ — and connect his story to what St. Peter tells us in the first reading: that we are called to share in the divine nature of God.
