God uses people with the courage to change their minds to build God's church. When's the last time you changed your mind about an issue central to the body of Christ?

The resurrection means that we can be as bold for Christ as we have ever been. And it is the launching point for building God's church.

a Palm Sunday reflection on our Fully Human worship series

To be fully human is to be mortal, wayward, corruptible and dying. That's a natural part of our experience. But it's not the whole of our experience. To be fully human is also to be people who are restored, redeemed, and resurrected--recalled to life in the mysterious, wonderful power of Christ. To be fully human is to be called back to life!

Are those who refuse to see the work of God in the world any better off than those who are born blind? Maybe we've been blind to many of the ways God is working in our world. Now is the time to look around and see God doing new things that God has never done before.

There is great power in how we choose to tell our stories. Sometimes the stories we choose to tell about ourselves are wildly differnt from the stories Jesus wants to tell about us. Remember, Jesus is part of your story, too. And when Jesus is part of your story, you have a hero's tale to tell. How will you tell your story?

The path to progress in our faith is in our willingness to be confused. We aren't called to have all the answers. We are called to be honest seekers after truth who are willing to trust and follow Jesus even when we don't understand everything.

As we start our journey toward Easter, Jesus faces temptation and begins to show us how to be fully human.

Sometimes good people with good intentions can go wildly off track. Sometimes we can be led to places we never imagined we would find ourselves--especially in the chaos of in-between times. Usually it's fear that leads us astray. In these times, God interrupts us over and over again to say, "Don't be afraid. Don't be afraid. Don't be afraid."
