While fear motivated Pharaoh's actions but faith in God motivated Moses' mom's action. Moses' mom was not ignorant or naive. She was keenly aware of the edict that had been mandated when Moses was born but rather than being driven by fear, Moses mom was driven by faith. She trusted the one who would protect her son. What a contrast of attitudes. Fear versus faith. But the promise for us is that faith wins every time.

Abraham is called upon to sacrifice his only son and the heir of the promise of God. What a test Abraham faced but it was a test he passed with flying colors. Abraham had a great confidence that God would provided a substitute sacrifice, so he obeyed God. As we will see in this story, God provided an appropriate sacrifice and Abrahams's heritage was protected. God provided!

We all face difficulty and trials in our life. But as believers in Christ we have a promise that this is not our home. We have been promised a place with God forever. So with that in mind the light and momentary trials we face can not be compared to what God has planned for us. We are also reminded through our text today that God is not ashamed of us. And yet we tend to walk in shame and hurt that keeps us from having an eternal perspective.

The question before us today is this "Is there anything too hard for God?" In the story of Abraham, we find that they are too old to have children. She was no longer able to have children because of the natural progress of getting older and the writer of Hebrews states that Abraham was almost dead. But, God had given them a promise. He had given Abraham a vision of multiple nations being born through he and Sarah. That is the beauty of this story. No matter how great the odds, God still brought about His will and He fulfilled His promises in them. Here is the blessing for us. No matter the odds God's will can still be accomplished in us.

By faith Abraham obeyed the call of God to leave all that was comfortable and familiar to him. Sometimes, God moves us from our comfort zone and what is familiar so that we can grow and He can us us for His Kingdom. The thing to remember is that true obedience is an expression of our faith in Christ. we trust Him so we can obey His word and His calling upon our life.

By faith Noah was called to do the impossible. Because of his faith in God he willingly accepted the call to build an ark in preparation of the flood. In Noah's day this seemed to be an impossible task but with God all things are possible.

(Partial Audio of Sermon) There is not much history about Enoch in the Bible and yet God chose to place him in the Hall of Fame of Faith. The reason is that he lived to seek God and to live by faith. That is the greatest way to please God is to seek Him and to live by faith. That is the call of Enoch's life to us today.

The story of Cain and Abel is a story of giving our best. Cain gave some while Abel gave his best to God. God always honors when we give our best. We must remember that God is more interested in the quality of our gifts (tithe, talent and time) than He is the quantity of our gifts.

Have you ever struggled to truly understand faith? This message looks at the principle of Biblical faith and helps us understand that true faith is founded in something or someone. For believers in Christ our faith is founded in the security of knowing God and that He is faithful, no matter what comes our way. People may let us down. Circumstances may change. What we possess may get destroyed. But God never changes and He is always faithful.

One of the key facts of life is that we will face difficult times and have issues that we will confront. Jesus assured us of the fact that in this world we will have trouble. While this is true we do not have to let the trouble of life get the best of us. There is a plan and in this message we find solutions to the problems of life.
