The Lord Builds Psalm 127

As Jesus moves toward His Cross, it exposes the weakness and vulnerability of the disciples, the reality for all humanity, and in contrast the power, strength and resolve of Jesus, as Messiah, willing to embrace a cross of weakness, of suffering through His strength overcome the weakness of man in order to save. He faithfully saves those who have been unfaithful.

Like that 1st Passover - Jesus reveals, that now by His blood, as the Lamb of God, by His substitution, his blood poured out for many, all who put their faith on His sacrifice, our enemies are now defeated, sins covered, and we are set free to worship and know God.

While the net tightens around Jesus as religious leaders conspire with Judas Iscariot to arrest and kill Jesus, Mark’s gospel focuses on a simple, but interrupted, dinner with Jesus and his disciples. The disciples, the religious leaders, Judas, and an unnamed woman react to Jesus in various ways based on what they ultimately treasure. In the end, the woman is commended for her devotion to Jesus and understanding of his death.
