Sometimes it can almost seem as if the New Testament gospels are a bit redundant. Another healing, another exorcism, another miracle…they almost start to run into each other. But as author’s like Mark recount Jesus’ ministry they’re adding new layers of understanding to the person and work of Jesus. In these two stories, Mark is showing how Jesus’ mission extends beyond the Jewish people. Jesus cares for all who come to him!

True worship of God is shaped by Jesus’ words and flows from a transformed heart.

Jesus is the prophet of God, great than Moses, who feeds his followers as the Shepherd King with his Word. Jesus is the true bread.

Psalm 84 gives us an understanding God's plotline for our lives. It puts things in perspective so we can steward the pain and discomfort, increases our capacity to experience beauty, engage with mystery, and connects us in community.
