When people at work or home only see things from their limited viewpoint and how decisions or actions affect them, then they develop expectations of you or accusations against you, what can you as a Christian do? How does God expect you to respond? You may have heard from God on a matter, or have a perspective that comes from the Word, or maybe you have talked with a number of people involved to gain a full perspective, and someone (even another Christian) comes along with their opinion of what you should do, or what action needs to be taken, and tries to push it on you. How do you go with the direction you feel God said as they campaign to get people aligned with their opinion? They are creating strife and you feel like if you push for your direction or action, you will increase the strife. What is a Christian to do?

Well, a similar situation occurred in the Word of God and we will look at it tomorrow to see what we should do and how to respond.

When we try to be a peacemaker through our flesh nature, we will fail but feel like we did something. When we are a peacemaker through our reborn spirit we will accomplish what God expects (though maybe not what He wants) even if we say nothing.

Does a Christian have the freedom to stand up for what they want or need in a work environment, family situations, or any other place where unreasonable demands are placed on them? Are we compromising our testimony by “putting people in their place” or perhaps pushing them further from the kingdom of God? Many times we are taught that to stand up for what we need or want in the work environment (and other places) is selfish and not what God wants us to do, nor what the word teaches us. Is this right?

There are a few examples of this in the word of God and that is always our best place to look in order to understand how we are to walk out our faith in a lost world.
