When the Lord literally knocked Saul off his high horse, he realized how small he was which is what the name "Paul" means.

Yet the plans God had for him were anything but small.

Paul starts his letter by saying he is separated for the gospel of God.

He was a Pharisee, that word separated and the word Pharisee have the same meaning. Pharisee meant one who is set apart.

And Pharisees often prided themselves in being separated from everyone else.

Paul was separated FROM everyone and FROM everything.

Now he says I’m separated TO… the gospel of God

Today Bret asks a question for us all… What are you separated TO?

If it was hard for Peter to understand Paul (2 Peter 3:15), you better believe it will be hard for some of us.

Yet, we pray that we do not back down from faithfully engaging and being formed by the word of God through the power of the Spirit in the book of Romans.

In Romans, Paul works through the most important and most pressing questions ever consider by the human race. Whether you are Christian or not, Paul shows us through meticulous logic that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only answer to those questions, it is literally the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes!
