A lot of women struggle to live up to the “Proverbs 31” portrayal of a woman. But this was just an attempt to depict how awesome a woman can be when she is a "tryer.”Or in other words, a woman who doesn’t give up when she’s knocked down, and doesn’t let others stay down either.

When it comes to the church family, or the families we grow up in, there are some specific things we can do as children or youth that will honor GOD, and others in the family, like our siblings and parents. But the number one thing we’re all going to have to overcome to be honoring, is entitlement.

Ideally, GOD wants us to both teach and learn what agape, eros, and phileo love looks like in the home, so we can apply these loves within the church. When this happens, everything is awesome. When it doesn’t, everything get’s destroyed. So how can we learn these loves and apply them in our home and church when we didn’t learn them growing up? The answer is by going to our Father who can teach us.

In order to make the church the kind of family that GOD wants, we must first realize how important the church family is to GOD, and that the primary purpose of every person/church is to glorify GOD. And the best ways to personally glorify GOD to others is by living so they can see we care about the family of GOD, or are focused on heaven instead of this world, and that we don’t let sin dominate our lives.

Whether it’s a real wedding or a spiritual metaphor, to be a good bridesmaid means being thoughtful enough to make sure that the bride is taken care of and ready. Are you a good bridesmaid to the church/bride, or are you the kind of bridesmaid that only cares about herself?

Jesus stated that He is the light of the world, and then said that we’re the light of the world. However, how much light we give off is entirely up to us. Meaning, we choose whether or not we’re going to be flooded with light or not...

Are you flooded with light or are you allowing darkness in? Where and how can you let your light shine?

Even though we don’t deserve GOD’S mercy, He has poured it out on us through His Spirit. That is one of the most consistent messages of Isaiah.

Our ability to reach others with the Good News by being a good witness for GOD, is entirely dependent on how loving we are. And after all, that’s the greatest commandment: to love others.
