My stepbrother Marc Lopez joins me again on an episode that completes a full year of podcasts. We discuss some of our most memorable shows/music festivals that we've gone to and what shows/venues we would go if we had a time machine and could go anywhere at anytime. Plus, I play a few of my beats, and Marc does some freestyling.
My cousin Austin Monaco-Genschaw joins me on late notice after a previously scheduled guest had some things come up. We go in depth about the upcoming NCAA mens basketball tournament, including going over our favorites, dark horses and who might be cinderella this season. Plus, we also go off on MLB commissioner Rob Manfred and the team owners severe mishandling of the CBA negotiations and how angry we are at the MLB lockout.
In this month's podcast, my fiancé Alexandria Yoder-Fox joins me to discuss many random topics, including why she decided to take up horticulture, why it is important to keep cat colonies in check and why video games offer the perfect distraction to the every day challenges of real life.
Another festive episode with this one relating to the winter solstice. My friend Jake August and I discuss our favorite cosmic horror stories and tropes, why we love the genre and how it has influenced some of our own writing and dreams. We also try a few beers throughout the conversation.
In the 47th minute, we also discover a portal that I may or may not have fallen through. Or perhaps, the madness was beginning to set in.
My brother Michael joins me to talk about some of our favorite Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year's holiday movies. I go over my top 10 holiday movies, and my brother, who is a movie connoisseur, gives his thoughts on my list and talks about movies he would add. Plus, the movies bring out some family memories for both of us, and a few random ones which may or may not include Captain Ron marathons.
Champlin Logators catcher/manager Matt Marek joins me to talk about his time on the field, the greatness of town baseball and why more people should know and support local teams. The Logators, which took third overall at state this past season, are a Class B amateur baseball team in the Twin Cities' northern suburbs, and they play out of the Metro Minny League in the Minnesota Baseball Association.

My cousin Austin Monaco-Genschaw joins me to talk about his time at Flagler College (St. Augustine, Fla.) as he starts his junior year, and we get back to the days when we talked a lot about sports. We touch on college football, NFL and MLB topics, including talk about the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, Chicago White Sox and many other teams.
Liverpool FC and just overall football (or soccer) fan Javier Hurtado joins me again as we discuss the start of the 2021-22 Premier League, Italy's Euro 2020 win, the importance of fans and more. This was also the first time I was blessed to do a face-to-face chat on this podcast, which already makes this one my favorite one.
My stepbrother Marc Lopez (aka Mal-One) joins me to discuss his hip-hop beginnings, performing at battles and poetry slams, doing music collaborations and just what music means to us. Plus, we also talk about Marc's recreational sports hobby in Chicago with Simply Social Sports (S3).
Note: Marc's voice is possessed by a Dalek from 69:58-76:10.

Guest and friend Josh Smith - who now works as an editor for Ground Support Worldwide and is a board member for the Fort Atkinson Generals (a baseball team in the Home Talent League in Wisconsin) - joins me to talk about our early days breaking into the sports writing/editing world, including when we started a short-lived blog and podcast together that we believe got us full-time gigs at newspapers.
We also talk amateur baseball and Major League Baseball.
