Every relationship is at risk of falling into some sort of dynamic. Today we are discussing the Parent - Child relationship dynamic. We share our stories on how we realized we were, or were not, in it and how we got out of it. 

This is a very common relationship dynamic where one partner assumes the role of the Parent, taking responsibility for the success of the relationship and the every day control of how it functions, and the other assumes the role of the Child, relinquishing that control to focus on other things and allowing their partner to do things their way.

This can result in a multitude of side effects including resentment, loss of respect, anger, and feeling unheard or unseen. We delve into how we can recognize which role we assume and how we can go about working together to shift this dynamic into an equal partnership. Although no two couples journeys will ever look the same, our hope is that we can use our experience to give you tips or hope that it is possible to find equality and feel seen, heard, and loved!
