Health authorities hold grave concerns this morning over the looming "superbugs" set to pose an extreme threat across the globe. A new study has revealed nearly 40 million people worldwide could die from antibiotic-resistant infections and another 169 million could die of related causes. Resistance happens when bacteria develop the ability to survive the drugs that once fought against them. And now doctors are scrambling for a solution as sick patients become harder to treat.

Childcare could soon cost less or nothing at all for Aussie families under new recommendations from The Productivity Commission. The government is being urged to make childcare completely free for households earning less than $80-thousand a year
As well as for families earning $140-thousand with more than one child under 5. The subsidy will then taper down based on your income.

A tradie in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs is so fed up with drunks peeing on his property he's taken matters into his own hands. After catching hundreds of people using his home as a pit stop on the way to the nearby pub, Stephen Bodnar has created his own sprinkler device which blasts late-night revellers with water the moment they step on his driveway. And despite spending a couple of thousand dollars on the equipment, Steve says he's just relieved he now doesn't wake up to puddles of pee.
