There's been a shocking surge in underworld violence in two of our major cities. In Sydney's south-west, the St Helens Park home of an alleged outlaw motorcycle gang member has been the target of both a drive-by shooting and a firebombing.  An elderly neighbour has also been caught in the crossfire of these attacks in what police believe was a case of mistaken identity. Meanwhile, in Melbourne's north, we've seen a series of dangerous firebombings wreak havoc on suburban streets with an Essendon home and convenience store both torched on Tuesday morning.
