Federal, state and territory leaders will soon begin urgent talks to confront the growing level of violence against women. The Prime Minister has declared it a national crisis with stark new data revealing rates of women murdered by an intimate partner are up nearly 30 per cent. So far this year, 27 women have allegedly died in violent circumstances. And advocates say we need a "real commitment to change" from our leaders.
