SES crews have worked to save a 50-year-old man in Ballarat after he fell 3 meters down a mineshaft. Police, firefighters, and the SES were all called to the scene working together to rescue him. The man was hurt when he fell but it wasn't life-threatening, and he was taken to hospital for treatment.

A man has been charged with affray over a Sydney street fight involving Rugby League journalist and presenter Paul Kent. The 54-year-old Fox Sports host has been stood down and seen arguing with another man last Saturday in Rozelle before a fight broke out. A 35-year-old man was arrested last night and he was given conditional bail to face court in June.
