There's some promising medical news for people suffering from osteoarthritis in their knees. A new study has found a simple DIY method could drastically reduce the pain. The randomised clinical trial looked at more than 300 people aged 50 and over who suffered from the condition. And it concluded that self-administered acupressure significantly reduced pain levels.

There is an urgent call on the need for changes to New South Wales bail laws after the alleged domestic violence murder of childcare worker, Molly Ticehurst, in the regional town of Forbes. The 28-year-old's former partner, Daniel Billings, has been charged over her death. Two weeks ago he was released into the community on bail while facing rape and stalking charges against Molly. Billings has been remanded in custody until his matter returns to court in June.

A coronial inquest into the deaths of three South Australians forced to wait outside hospitals is underway in Adelaide. Ambulance ramping is under the microscope. The inquest hearing each patient made it to the doorstep of the hospital but lost their lives while waiting. Paramedics, doctors and triage nurses will give evidence over the next fortnight.
