A Queensland magistrate has taken a stand in the fight against youth crime across the state revoking the bail of an alleged 16-year-old attacker.

There's been another asbestos scare in Sydney after several loads of building waste containing asbestos were dumped in Sydney's west. Police, fire and council workers were on location on Graham Road in Rossmore wetting piles of the dumped material and taping off the area. Witnesses reported seeing a truck driver who was said to be dumping the materials confronted by locals. No fines or arrests have been made.

The Australian government have appointed a special adviser to investigate Israel's response to the IDF strikes that killed aid workers in Gaza. Air Chief Marshal Binskin who served as Chief of the Australian Defence Force will work with Israel to investigate the incident. He will provide advice to the government about further actions following his inquiry.

Outrage is building across Melbourne as a 65-year-old man becomes the latest victim of the country's youth crime crisis. The grandfather who chased a group of teenagers after spotting them attempting to steal from his car in Beaumaris was left seriously injured after the confrontation turned violent. The teens were arrested but have since been released without charge.
