Mark 16:1-8 recounts the scene of the discovery of Jesus' empty tomb by Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome. They arrived at the tomb after the Sabbath to anoint Jesus' body with spices. However, upon arriving, they found the stone rolled away from the entrance. Entering the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, who informed them that Jesus had risen and was not there. He instructed them to go and tell Jesus' disciples, including Peter, that Jesus would meet them in Galilee, just as he had told them before his crucifixion. The women fled from the tomb, trembling and astonished, and said nothing to anyone because they were afraid.

Mark 11:1-11 narrates Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, commonly known as Palm Sunday.

Mark 13 highlights Jesus' teachings about the signs of the end times, the destruction of the temple, the importance of being vigilant, and the certainty of his eventual return.

In Mark 12:28-44, Jesus responds to a question about the greatest commandment by emphasizing the importance of loving God with all one's being and loving one's neighbor as oneself. Jesus then observes people giving money in the temple, noting the generous offerings of the wealthy and the sacrificial gift of a poor widow who gives all she has. This passage underscores the principles of genuine love for God and others, as well as the value of sacrificial giving.

In Mark 12:1-12, Jesus tells a parable about a vineyard owner who leases his vineyard to tenants. When the time comes for the owner to collect the fruit, he sends servants to the tenants to receive his share. However, the tenants mistreat and even kill the servants sent by the owner. The owner then sends his son, thinking the tenants will respect him, but they plot to kill him too, hoping to claim the inheritance. Finally, the owner's son is killed by the tenants. Jesus concludes the parable by asking what the owner will do to those tenants. The religious leaders listening to Jesus understand that he is speaking about them, recognizing their rejection of God's prophets and ultimately planning to kill Jesus, the Son of God.

Mark 10: 32-52 showcases Jesus' teachings on humility, servanthood, and the kingdom of God, as well as his compassion and miraculous healing power. It also highlights the contrast between worldly concepts of greatness and the true nature of discipleship in following Jesus.
