Mark 5:1-20 narrates the story of Jesus healing a demon-possessed man in the region of the Gerasenes. The man, who lived among tombs, was possessed by a legion of demons. Jesus cast out the demons into a herd of pigs, and the pigs ran into the sea and drowned. The healed man wanted to follow Jesus, but Jesus instructed him to go home and share the news of his healing. The people in the region were amazed but also fearful, prompting Jesus to depart.

Mark 4:1-34 contains parables spoken by Jesus, such as the Parable of the Sower, Lamp, and Mustard Seed.
