Good morning Marsha 😊

➢Tell us what song puts you in a good mood when you wake up in the morning?

It is actually not a specific song but Meditation music with nature sounds that I enjoy most in the morning. It helps me to quite my inner voice, “just be” and prepare for a full and productive day.

➢Where would be the best place to take us to enjoy a sunset in Athens?

The ancient Greek temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounio is one of the best places to experience a magical sunset over the Aegean sea. You travel back in time while the late afternoon sun bathes the glorious temple with a golden glorious glow.

➢What is your favourite aspect of DJ’ing?

Keeping people entertained and inspiring them to get up and dance is part of the reason I love to DJ. Also interacting with them, understanding the mood of the dance floor, the energy of the venue and how it changes is a real challenge and motive for me.

➢You run the wonderful Deep House Athens channel. What is the hardest part about running a channel like yours?

Running Deep House Athens requires a lot of time but it brings me a lot of personal joy and satisfaction. Keeping the quality high, creating the ideal space and choosing the right music and talented artists is maybe the hardest part about running the channel.

➢ What do you hope to bring the music scene with Deep House Athens?

Deep House Athens was founded on the belief that the true beauty of music is connection and so its main aim is to connect to one another as far and wide around the globe as we can.

➢Lastly, regarding this mix you have done for us, can you tell us a little bit of your thought process behind choosing the tracks you chose?

This mix is a bit different to what I’m usually doing. I moved out of my comfort zone and blended different tunes in order to deliver the calming power of a glorious sunset. It starts with some old chill, lounge & dub music and, in the middle, it changes to some new downtempo organic house. The mix was inspired by all those beautiful sunsets that I’ve watched in my life and which I count them as a blessing. I recorded it one or two days before the wildfires started in Greece and so I dedicate it to the forestland, the trees and the animals that turned into ashes and, of course, to all those people whose houses and heritage lost in the fire.

Good morning dear all! I like it smooooth and lazy in the morning. It can be some TripHop sounds from my favourite musicians Boozoo Bajou or some dreamy downtempo tunes. I don't have a favourite musician in our genre, I like every one of you <3 <3

➢How did you come about your DJ alias Lockige Ostsee?

Oh, hehe :D Years ago I had some more hair on my head and it´s getting curly with the length over 5cm. And I was born, raised and still live at the Baltic sea. It´s hard to find a perfect name, either a DJ name or a track name, isn´t it? 😊 😊

➢ Where would be the best place to take us to enjoy a sunset in Rostock?

I think, one of the best places is the Rostock city harbour, where the mixtape-picture was made (by my lovely friend @ener-music ). But another nice spot is the beach in Rostock-Warnemünde, but there are too many people in my opinion :P

➢ How has the music scene developed in Rostock over the last few years and could you recommend the listeners an event that you love or you might organize with your collective Faultierdisko?

The people in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern always say “Everything comes 100 year later in M-V” – like the music scene too :D Downtempo has just a little crowd in Rostock and the region. Even though there are many many beautiful musicians in MV. Think about Steffen Kirchhof, M.Rux, Klangstrom, Commander Love, Luett Matten, just to call some of them. A few of them do not live here anymore, but they all started here 😊

➢ Clubs and Festivals have started re-opening, where or what was the first event you attended?

My first gig after this corona time was at the beach in my new home area in Zingst. But my slothbrother Stelzenläufer and I will play at the beautiful 3000 Grad Festival next week. We can´t wait for it!!! 😊

➢ Lastly, regarding this mix you have done for us, can you tell us a little bit of your thought process behind choosing the tracks you chose?

Ohyeah! Let us start smooth and lazy with the first few songs. Then we dive into a dreamy way – it´s the moment when the sun hits the water surface. After this, when it´s getting darker and darker, I will tune up with some faster slothdisco vibes before we heading into darker, deeper and “geile” music. After this, I will give you some better feelings to end this journey with a smile in your face 😊 😊

Oh yeah... This time it gets deep. Our friend F.I.E.l.D.Y is back after his debut on our Planisphere of Dendera compilation. Only this time with a whole trilogy of tracks, all in collaboration with homie MindFoxx. If you don't know F.I.E.l.D.Y. yet, now it's about time. A Hammer in Slow.

The title track Blurry Woods promises basically already a playful, dark thing. More than that is offered, though. Crisp, and so on point are the drums. Here and there a bit of LoFi, spooled schnick schnack and deepest basses enchant directly.

Sirens has a train forward and offers the necessary tension for a banger. Wonderful vocals hypnotize, while a subtle touch of Psy mixes in. Out the back, a crunchy synth complements, which reminds a bit of Anthony Rother in the 2000s. A great piece, very versatile and childlike playful, the two also show here what they can do.

With Falling Star comes a concentrated wave of energy with a gloomy note and progressive mood rolled in. Something of industrial character and minimal anomaly affects the dance legs with usual craziness. Dirty club sound, to put it in a nutshell.

Oh yeah… Diesmal wirds deep. Unser Freund F.I.E.l.D.Y ist zurück nach seinem Debüt auf unserer Planisphere of Dendera Compilation. Der Titelsong Blurry Woods verspricht ja im Grunde schon eine verspielte, düstere Sache. Mehr als das wird jedoch gebote. Knackig, und sowas von on point sind die drums. Hier und da etwas LoFi, verspulten schnick schnack und tiefste Bässe verzaubern direkt.

Sirens hat einen zug nach vorne und bietet die nötige Spannung für einen Knaller. Wundervolle Vocals hypnotisieren, während eine dezente Note Psy mitmischt. Hinten raus ergänzt ein knarziger Synth, welcher ein wenig an Anthony Rother in den 2000ern erinnert. Ein tolles Stück, sehr vielseitig und kindlich verspielt, zeigen die beiden auch hier was sie können.

Mit Falling Star kommt eine geballte Energiewelle mit düsterer Note und progressiver Stimmung angerollt. Etwas von Industriellem Charakter und minimaler anomalie wirkt sich mit gewohnter verrücktheit auf die Tanzbeine aus. Dreckiger Clubsound, um es kurz zu fassen.
