    ➤ About:
We're thrilled to present Camel Riders' brand new V/A - 'Everlust' (Compiled by Seel).
This compilation includes 25 multicultural stories crafted by a diversity of returning artists and new members of our family. Everlust (Compiled by Seel) masterfully blends a colorful palette of exquisite electronic sounds and genres, such as Downtempo, Deep House, and Indie Dance, with a wide range of organic elements and instruments. This fusion creates a diversity of profound and mesmerizing tales, displaying different perspectives from multiple backgrounds and cultures. Everlust is here to remind us that all humans are mortal and our lives on planet Earth are limited. On the other hand, the sounds created by humans with the use of their instruments and machines, all assembled in logical patterns, are timeless and eternal. We’ll always have an immense desire for it, as it invokes so many feelings and is continuously present in countless aspects of our lives. We can’t imagine life without music. It is an element that is common to all cultures worldwide since the beginning of humanity. From Tanzania to Japan and way beyond - Music is EVERLUST.
This collection has been gathered by our dear friend and an established member of the Camel Riders family - Johny P. Gavish aka SEEL. Johny is a solid figure in the Israeli electronic scene for over a decade. He has been producing music since 2014 under the name JOHNY PABLO, displaying his elegant darkish vibe in some of the most colorful gatherings in Israel, Europe, and the USA. In 2018, Johny launched his new project ‘SEEL’, which displays an emotive and optimistic approach, fusing sophisticated electronica with live instruments, all framed with a slowish and very pleasurable tempo.

  • Sunset Grooves Podcast #195 - Ziggy Phunk
We are delighted to have @ziggy_phunk on board with us to bring you something wonderfully different! Known for his exquisite Disco and House productions and sets he has once again delivered a set full of feel good gems changing up his selection as he goes along.
If you haven't checked his profile, now is your chance to do so, to discover a world of dope feel good tracks.
    ******************************
Good morning Mr. Ziggy Phunk 😊
➢ Tell us what song puts you in a good mood when you wake up in the morning?
Hard to choose just one song, as it really depends on my mood on the day. But in mornings I like it to be chilled and easy listening. Often putting on some modern soul in the sounds of Howard Johnson, Isaac Hayes or Teddy Pendergrass or else I listen to some Fleetwood Mac or Bob Dylan.
➢ You are known for your excellent reworks and edits of some classic tracks. What do you look to change to the original so that it fits to a modern sound system and dancefloor?
Often making both longer intros and outros for the DJs ! Trying to create a few build-ups which is not to be found in the original and as well adding new elements with for example a new bass, new synths, piano or new drums and percussions to bring some new life into it.
I’m moving more away from the edits though, and have been working on a LOT of original tunes during the lockdowns in 2020! So stay tuned for that. (I will always and still be doing edits though - as I love to alter songs I like, to fit into my DJ sets and to share them with ya’ll)...
But you will begin to see more and more original work from me in my future releases.
➢ Your feel good vibes are what we love about you. Do you think we can find feel good vibes in all genres of music or you need something in particular to get that smile and hands in the air feeling?
I’m absolutely sure you can find “feel good vibes” in all genres of music! I always say there’s basically (in my world) only two terms to describe music.
There’s Good Music and Bad music , but ofc my main go-to genres are Disco and House and everything good within that!
➢ Since the pandemic it has been difficult time for the music scene, how has it changed in Denmark and what do you think will be different when things return to a certain “normality”?
Well! Like everywhere else in Europe and the world, all restaurants, bars and clubs have been closed for about a year now! During summer 2020 some cafés and restaurants in Denmark were still open with restrictions, but did still use DJs to set the vibe - so that luckily gave me a few gigs still despite of covid... But since October 2020 or so, everything has been closed - we’re in April now. Nothing has opened up yet here in Denmark, so can’t really say how it has changed the scene at this moment in time! Hopefully it won’t have changed anything when we finally are allowed to play amazing music for people and again will be able to dance all night long - but let’s see, it’s difficult to predict anything in these times! But.......
Seeing how Australia and Israel now partying the way they do, like we all did pre-covid, gives me hope.
➢ Lastly, regarding this mix you have done for us, can you tell us a little bit of your thought process behind choosing the tracks you chose?
Haven’t thought too much about it tbh - when I first hit record on the decks, I just choose songs as I go along. I did decide what the opening track should be though, but that sets the vibe, and from there I just go along. Your podcast is called “sunset grooves” - so I just played and recorded a set that could fit a beautiful sunset! While recording this mix for you, I must admit I was dreaming myself away to a sunset gig. Daaamn I miss those type of sets! I actually just miss playing music in front of people, haha! Hopefully it will be possible again this summer. Until then, hit play guys, and enjoy the tunes in this little mix of mine.

  • Sunset Grooves Podcast #194 - Damien Harmand
When things are still looking very distant in terms of being able to party all together, look no further than this set with @damien-harmand to transport you into a feeling of being on a proper dance floor with dark disco grooves. What a pumping set!
    Interview with Damien
    ********************
Good morning Damien!! I hope you agree to answer a few random and fun questions to share with our listeners?

Hey good morning! Yes sure and thanks for welcoming me on your channel!
➢ To start you off tell us what song puts you in a good mood when you wake up in the morning?

I come from a more punk/rock background, so my song to start off the day in a good mood would definitely be Burning from Whitest Boy Alive. This song reminds me of the 5 years I spent living in London, a turning point in my life: it opened my eyes musically. The UK scene is huge and diverse, and living in London made me discover House and Deep House through many artists that inspired me at that time such as Maya Jane Coles, Steve Bug etc…. This is what got me into digging and mixing.
Funny, I always have to listen to this song twice: the 1st listen would be more nostalgic, thinking of all these great memories, and the second would bring a big smile to my face and get me ready for the day.
➢ You are one half of @la-magouille, tell us briefly how you two got playing together and what is the best part of doing b2b’s?

We share the same love for music, we have pretty similar taste and love the same artists, like @jobjobse or @jennifercardini, so it came quite naturally to start playing together.
In our B2Bs, each of us will try to bring something special on the table and the best part of it is that we always try to challenge and surprise each other without knowing what the other has in their bag. It’s exciting and it adds another layer of synergy between us.
➢ You are the founders of Long Distance parties. What do you want someone to experience by the end of one of your events?

We created Long Distance with the idea to bring inspiring artists to Switzerland (like Darlyn Vlys or Bawrut) and to put the spotlight on the styles of music we love such as dark disco, italo house, new wave…
So hopefully at the end of an event people would have discovered new sounds... and dance their asses off!
So far we always had great feedback and it makes us feel lucky to be able to share our music, it’s also a lot of great vibes and we can’t wait for the next one!
➢ Since the pandemic it has been difficult time for the music scene, how has it changed within Lausanne and what do you think will be different when things return to a certain “normality”?

Yes it’s been a tough time for many artists, independent and the industry in general. It’s also sad not to be able to party together and to go listen to the artists we love and inspires us. I hope that things will get back to normal as soon as possible. I think when things open again people would feel the urge to catch up on all those months of privation and it will certainly be a beautiful time full of love and gratefulness.
➢ Lastly, regarding this mix you have done for us, can you tell us a little bit of your thought process behind choosing the tracks you chose?
This set represents how I feel at the moment: I’m impatient, I can’t wait for clubs to reopen and be able to share again moments on the dance floor with friends and strangers. I think the tracks selection kind of encapsulates this.

  • Sunset Grooves Podcast #193 - Jay Fase
Spring is approaching and we can all feel that same tingling feeling through our body of wanting to go and dance and party hard. One of our local talents from Lausanne, @Jayfase always knows how to get the dancefloor into a frenzy and he has put together a proper set for getting us all sweaty. Turn up your speakers and press play!
    Interview with Jay
    ****************
    Good morning Jay 😊
➢ To start you off tell us what song puts you in a good mood when you wake up in the morning?
The sound of nature. I have the chance to live in the countryside and cohabit with lots of animals. They are my music to spend a beautiful day :-)
➢ Your musical career began in HipHop, what made you move towards a career in electronic music?
Freedom in my creation in 15 years I made some platinum discs with hip-hop it's great, but you always work for an artist, you're not the artist. With electronic music I tell my story, it's a deep musical journey without the standard code of "The Music Industry".  I think that time has also made me evolve and touch everything that music can be.
➢ As a producer, who are some of your inspirations that formed the style of music you associate yourself with?
    Just love, groove and deepness
➢ Since the pandemic it has been difficult time for the music scene, how has it changed within Lausanne and what do you think will be different when things return to a certain “normality”?
Like everyone else I'm waiting... people need to reconnect, the recovery will be strong in energy and in a more intimate and local atmosphere, I think. In lausanne people are ready haha
➢Lastly, regarding this mix you have done for us, can you tell us a little bit of your thought process behind choosing the tracks you chose?
Honestly, I never prepare my sets. When I buy or compose a new piece I take time to edit, put loops and cue points. I mix with 2-3 tracks throughout the set and on the 4th track I throw percussion, voice and snareroll to create climbs. My tracks are referenced with keys and power so I can freestyle easily and adapt to many different moods. For sunset groove I played a set that I would have done between 01h-02h in the morning ;-) Enjoy
