About this EP :

From a parallel universe comes Metamine, a unique sonic fusion between the eclectic grooves of Rafael Aragon and the deep rhythms of Kaygee, both traveling worlds between folktronica and downtempo, uniting paths of slow organic vibes and crude but sweet analog electronic beats.

Metamine EP comes to existence as a 7 tracks journey that also profits from the warm sounds of the mediterranean by Vinzoo, the exquisite talent of Mamzu from Japan and the Berlin’s electronic touch by Luett Matten in a whole cosmic voyage for every soul to enjoy.

Cosmovision Records is very happy to present you this awesome EP that we hope you listen, dance and share with all our Cosmo friends all over the world!, enjoy!

Interview with Ellosophy

**********************

Good morning Ellos & Sophie 😊

Tell us what song puts you in a good mood when you wake up in the morning?

➢ For Sophie it is the song of Pasteur Lappe - Na Real Sekele Fo Ya and for Ellos it is Patrice Rushen- Forget me nots.

When did you both realize you were made to make music together?

➢We actually decided on the dance floors of Berlin to start our own electronic band and stop annoying other club dancers because we were constantly singing our own melodies and baselines on top of the tracks. :)

Where would be the best place to take us ,to enjoy a sunset in Berlin?

➢One of the best places to enjoy a sunset is the Drachenberg or the Tempelhofer Feld!

Has your style of music changed compared to when the pandemic started?

➢Not really, because we gather our inspiration from all sorts of genres: from Deep House to Soul to Jazz and Disco, there is a little bit of everything.

When the clubs re-open, where would you go to first?

➢We would go to sisyphos 😊

Lastly, regarding this mix you have done for us, can you tell us a little bit of your thought process behind choosing the tracks you chose?

➢These songs remind us how it feels to dance with a huge crowd into the sunset. We hope you can feel the same. 😊

Our third "Free Edit of The Month" is brought to you by the wonderful Waxwood who has done a great job of editing this classic track covered by Marty Robbins in 1966, released on the album "By the time I get to Pheonix".

Bringing those raw roland drums with the original blues melody and soft vocals gives us a wonderful concoction of feel good sounds.

VA Info

-------------------------

Sabo and his label Sol Selectas once again take us on a musical trip around the world, with enchanting synth lines, psychedelic atmosphere, and tribal beats.

Focusing mainly on electronic sound, but still with some organic textures, the thirteen tracks on this special compilation range from melodic, deep house to tribal electronica.

The label welcomes new artists Aurka, Tamada, Serkan Eles, and DOMA for their debut on Sol Selectas.

They are also happy to present music from returning label favourites such as Be Svendsen, Timboletti, Guy Maayan, Ayala (IT), Golan Zocher and Choopie, Hot Oasis, PAAX Tulum, and Tuba Twooz.

Individually the artists have all made many solo achievements including music released on other labels such as Bar 25 Music, Crosstown Rebels, Cosmic Awakenings, and Kindisch.

Last year Sol Selectas launched its spring compilation 'Global Entry' which bridges the gap between the cold winter and hot summer. Warming our hearts, minds and souls with enlightening sounds, this second edition of the compilations once again welcomes in the summer months.

The songs feature heartfelt melodies, swirling arpeggios, subtle acid licks, distorted electric guitars, desert grooves, and lots of tribal percussion.

The artwork by Helia Jamali displays an interstellar doorway up the stairs of an exotic hacienda on a distant but familiar planet.

@disfunctional_disco is coming in hot straight out of Copenhagen with an absolutely juicy mix full of grooves, with a whole bunch of cracking upcoming promos fresh for your ears.

********************

Good morning Lars 😊

➢ Tell us what song puts you in a good mood when you wake up in the morning?

That varies immensely, its rarely anything electronic though, although i have been making a playlist lately, with old classics (in my opinion) with vocals, like Stimming - Close the curtains, Dapayk & Padberg - Island feat. Caro (Nôze Remix)… these really sets my mood at top level :). Or else its more traditional songs and can be anything from Norah Jones to radiohead and everything in between.

➢ Disfunctional Disco is a great name. Tell us the history about how it became your artist alias?

Uffff, that is an old story, to cut it short, we were sitting at an afterparty…..MANY MANY years ago, and in our godlike knowledge mode(as you know you achieve at afterparties), we were trying to redefine the term house music, and my best bid was, thats it basically started out as “Disfunctional Disco”, and it stuck ever since.

➢ You co-manage the label @sofa-beats-1 . Give one piece of advice you have learnt running Sofa Beats to someone who is looking to start their own music label?

DONT DO IT…hahaha, no im kidding. Be sure its not just a vanity project, you have to bring true value to yourself and the artist involved, and by that i mean, get involved, read about rights, royalities and all the boring legal stuff, be professional from the start, that is i think the most important thing…be professional from the start.

➢ Since the pandemic it has been difficult time for the music scene, how has it changed in Denmark and what do you think will be different when things return to a certain “normality”?

Its such a difficult question to answer, in copenhagen the clubs have suffered hard, and have been forced to look into fundraising etc. to survive, thats the biggest impact, that our clubscene is hit really hard, and to be honest its hard to say if they will survive at all. When society opens up(its happening now actually), im not sure we’ll see big changes to be honest, people will take the necessary precautions to get to a party, slowly the restrictions will fade to normal, Pirate parties will reign supreme in the beginning, but i think in a year or so, we will be back to were we were just before the pandemic.

➢ Lastly, regarding this mix you have done for us, can you tell us a little bit of your thought process behind choosing the tracks you chose?

Im spoiled in the promo department, so i always try to put in something i know few people have heard yet, i usually start to collect tracks 2-3 weeks prior to a podcast or mix, then i play around with the material, checking keys and transitions, then i usually get angry cause i think its sound like shit:)….then ill get a few more tracks, maybe even a classic tune, play around some more, until i dance around like a mania…then i know its there :)

➤About this EP :

¨Botanique¨ is the name of the last release by Mondocane, a music alchemist who’s been shaking the Italian scene for the past twenty years. Always attracted by world music mixed with urban beats, he started releasing his original productions with a unique psychedelic/tribal twist mixed with slow techno, acid and acoustic sampling techniques.

¨Botanique¨ is a concept album dedicated to the wonderful world of plants, which are the first ever travelers on planet Earth. Every species with its own surviving strategy and its peculiarities can teach us so much like: how to survive our own destruction, how to cooperate with other humans and how to relate with the environment that surrounds us.

We would like to dedicate this album to the work of Italian botanist Stefano Mancuso and give it as a gift to all the people who enjoy these deep vibes, enjoy!

We love Yarni, we love Klassified and when you get Benji working with artists and live instruments you get a concoction of absolute groove juice! This is so tasty.

‘Boro’ is taken from the Japanese word for patchwork textiles, and the idea of patching things together is the foundation of the second concept album from music maker Yarni.

The release showcases Yarni’s ambition to keep moving forward musically, touching on diverse influences from jazz, funk, rock and electronica.

The album’s concept comes from Yarni’s first trip to Japan. The musician was fascinated by the way the Japanese retain their traditions and embrace super-futuristic ideas at the same time.

That combination of old and new flowed into the album’s creation. Yarni enrolled some local jazz musicians to contribute to the album’s live feel, while he played several traditional instruments himself. These sounds were blended with futuristic synthesis to produce something that feels fresh and exciting in 2021.

This is a record that represents Yarni’s broad palette of inspirations. It’s an accessible listen, touching on many genres without ever going too far left-field. This isn’t an album to alienate listeners – it’s one to unite them.

We are delighted to support and do this premiere for Manucho. We were one of the first channels to invite him to do a podcast for us a couple of years ago and in a small amount of time he has developed his own sound and productions. Therefore to be able to share this excellent original is an absolute pleasure. Enjoy "El Hermano" and make sure to check out his other tracks ;)

About:

Exotic Refreshment welcome Manucho, a producer from Argentina. "In Other Words" is the reflection of Manucho’s latest adventures. A magical celebration on El Hermano hill, new friends who today feel like family, the discovery of the most moving speech ever, the guidance of a new mentor and the unconditional love of a soulmate.

Among the four beautiful original tracks entitled "In Other Words Feat. Niño", "El Hermano", "Oku Feat. Niño" and "The Fire Whisperer", you will find here three remixes from Dan Bay (WAYU Records, Bunte Kuh, Kiosk ID, Heimlich Musik), Decalculator (Serafin Audio Imprint, Metanoia) and Depart (Underyourskin Records, Cafe De Anatolia, Good Vibes Only).
